• Biography - Enslaved by the empire into unwittlingly helping their magitek empire grow. Terra is unsure of herself, and more importantly of the gift of magic that she naturally possesses. A gift that most people have considered myth.

• Abilities - Terra is a potent magical user. She naturally commands the elements of Life, Fire, Holy, and Gravity without the assistance of outside learning. She also is a capable fighter, being able to wield a magnitude of weapons and armors. As well as equipment. She also eventually learns how to fully control and manipulate her esper form. Becoming a much more powerful spellcaster. In a pinch, she can use the amazingly powerful Riot Blade. Which spells death for almost any enemy unlucky to encounter it. Terra also has the ability to fly.

• Personality - Terra is soft spoken, timid, and very unsure of herself. She doesn't understand her place in this world and learns to understand more about what it means to love. She is afraid of her power but isn't willing to let that get in the way of what she feels needs to be done to save the world. Although she may question it at times. Because of all this, she is very confused. This leads her to have a cold exterior.

• Biography - A Mysterious Woman who goes by the codename of Lightning. No one knows her real name. She was chosen by the crystals to take down the tryannical city of Cacoon. Once a soldier for the Holy Government. She finds herself against it.

• Abilities - Lightning possess adept skill wielding her gun sword, as well as using fire and lightning magic. She also has the ability to manipulate gravity fields with a ability called "Gravity Bomb". Activated by implants on her thumb and finger. Using this ability she can perform feats of amazing agility including attacking upside down while in mid-air. She was also shown in a trailer making use of her crystal to unleash devastating abilities. The full extent of these abilities is still unknown.

• Personality - We haven't seen much of Lightnings personality. She however is shown to be a extremely cold person, annoyed by the antics of Sazh and even going as far as slap Snow when she believes his actions has caused her to fail a mission. In a recent trailer, after snow promises to protect sarah. Lightning becomes angry and punches snow to the ground. When snow says he'll set things right. This only causes lightning to strike him again. Snow says he'll do anything to calm Lightning down. But for what purpose?

1) This is kind of stupid since we don't "know" Lightning yet. Stupidity furthered by the fact that it is lame and infantile to compare who is "better.
2) Why is she represented by a palette-swapped Celes?
3) I still maintain that Terra is NOT the main character of FF 6; it centers around a group of people and what happens to their world.

1. Valid Concern, but it'll come up eventually. As I say in the main post, cloud and squall get their petty matchups all the time. Fans like to reflect with whatever character suits them best. Think of it as more fun than stupid. Also, we know as much as we've seen in trailers. And after E3. I think we've seen enough to get at least a prelimary out.
2. I palette swapped celes to look like Lightning. Since both characters have CGI pictures of themselves, and I didn't want the 16-bit sprite art of terra's original in-game appearance to be overwhelmed by CGI Lightning. So I decided to make a 16-bit Lightning and add both of em in there. Besides, Sprite art is fun.
3. Terra is definately the main character of Final Fantasy 6. The story starts because of her, she's the catalyst of many events in the game. Her origin story is the basis of the story. EVERY final fantasy is abou ta group of people and what happens to the world. If you want a better example? Final Fantasy 5. Bartz, Lenia, Galuf and that other dude hang out with you the ENTIRE game. That's about a group of people. Final Fantasy 6. Is mostly about terra.
