people need to stop defending Wii sales. if it's bad, it's bad. i own nintendo stocks, so yeah, i'm disappointed it isn't selling in the 60,000s.
the only positive for the wii is that the wii has already won this generation, as sales have acculmulated enough for 3rd parties to make games for it, without even galaxy and wii fit coming out. but without knowing the rest of nintendo's 2008 release, wii sales is still somewhat of a uncertainty, and it might not win by as big of a margin as i had been hoping for.
and yes, trends in japan i believe are very much worth watching. on a related note, PSP selling 300k isn't a trend though. declining wii sales is--even taking into account the slow season.

Im guessing it went something like 130k, 90k, 60k. I reckon it will pull off about 150k next week.

Thank you for not writing off the Wii numbers. I agree the Wii still has the best chance of winning this generation, but I don't think people should ignore these poor Wii Japan numbers.

As for the Wii numbers... I'm not exactly worried. Saying that I'm not completely worried makes me a lair. So yes I am a BIT worried... at least until SMG/Smash Bros release in Japan.
Right after them No More Heroes, Umbrella Chronicles and then.. Wii Fit.

Also screw Wii Fit. If I want to work out I can watch tv while I do it, not stand on a balance board. Me, my brother, and my two cousins are about the biggest game freaks you'll meet, have been since all of us were maybe 4, and we were watching live on G4 when they unveiled it. All of us were just like "..........who gives a shit about that? Where are the actual games?" Evidently, people like my sister, who never actually played a game by herself in her entire life despite being 4 years older than me, will buy it. She thinks it looks awesome.

Yes, lots of people.
IE. Casual gamers. Personally I wouldnt be suprised if Wii Fit sold more than 10 Mil.
