EDIT: Even with VGC 2.0, it runs fine. How much RAM do you have? That's probably the problem. Firefox, with my 6 tabs open, is using 273MB RAM (down about 100MB from when I cleared private data, try that too), but that leaves 1.25GB RAM spare. So unless I started running a game at this point, my computer would be fine.


Nope.  4gig RAM.  I think it could be a problem between my op system and FF... its Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

Ah, I'm running XP. That might explain it.

Check the task manager- how much RAM is it using now?

287MB for me.

I'm using IE8 now... I had the same problems as nordlead with FF and it frustrated the hell out of me. To be fair IE8 is running very very well.

I haven't touched IE8. Stopped using Internet Explorer back when IE7 was the newest version.

I tried IE again, once, and I wanted to shoot somebody, it was so slow.

Once again, try opening Firefox and clear your private data. It'll run a hell of a lot faster.

And if you must avoid Firefox, use Chrome.

Firefox is crap, yet IE chrome isn't?

Fixed..

IE has gotten allot better, and faster... easily competes with FF if not better, and I use to hate, no despise IE..

Chrome just flat out blows, has to be one of thee worst browsers I ever used.

Before I even had time to try any of the things you guys suggested (been sleeping, and then been at work) it now seems to be fixed and the site is no longer causing these problems for me. To be safe, though, I download adblock if it starts screwing with me again.
