You got cought trying to lie to someone while telling them to be honest...and yet you persist? What a joke, admitting it or not. The guy that 'sold' me the PSP owns the store so no-one's getting fired, I am an honest person at the best of times, but at the same time in circumstances such as the very topic of this thread I have to look after number one, which coincidently happens to be me.

If I found a hundred dollars on the ground I would keep it, if I found a wallet on a bus I would hand it in.

If the store owner discovers the transaction error then I shall pay accordingly, if he doesn't notice it's a bonus to me that disables no-one.

I'm pretty much the same way.  There is no way I am going to go in search of the lost owner of $100 but a wallet has ID etc...  Basically it boils down to, "was it my mistake?" and if not then I don't feel the need to jump through hoops to correct it.  Now if I was going through the store and picked something up and absentmindedly walked out with it I would go back because that was my fault.

Seriously though, robbing someone is one thing, letting people's mistakes run their course is another. There was no intent to harm anybody.

Natural Selection is a term used to describe that individuals in a species survive based on how well they're adapted to survive. You can turn this to the business world too. If you have a short attention span or a bad memory, or even faulty machinery, then you're not equipped to make it in the world of business.

You don't want me judging you based on one incident, yet you judged the sales clerk on the exact same incident (to your profit of $80) and judged me for discussing the same incident.

You say you don't disagree with my message, that you didn't like the way I said it because it was lecturing from a stranger, yet you then lecture me for my delivery of that message.

You somehow expect us to believe that you couldn't stop the sales clerk from giving you change more than once. Are you being honest in that? Is that part of you not disagreeing with my message?

You decided to support the dishonesty mentioned in this thread, and I am supporting being honest.

At this point you are just being thickheaded for the sake of argument. You and I both know there is a difference between you judging people and being pompous and conceded enough to believe that what you say should matter to them and me judging a clerk and not feeling the need to tell him what I think of him. Or in this case you pushing the issue to the point where I felt forced to deal with you...but rest assured that is no longer the case as I now understand your true purpose here.

As for not being able to stop him, I'm sure just about everyone has been in a restraunt trying to get the attention of a waiter or waitress only to be ignored by them. Sometimes people are oblivious to whats going on around them. The very fact that he gave me my change 3 times seems to fit that idea pretty well...but that just makes too much sense for you I guess.

You keep on "supporting honesty", and I'll keep on laughing at the fact that you LIED to do it. Seriously that is just pathetic, what kind of example is that to set? How do you expect anyone to take your message of honesty seriously when you would forsake it even while promoting it.

At this point I actually pity you, in the same way a faith of convenaince is sad & pathetic, so to are morals of conveniance.
