Forums - Microsoft Discussion - R.I.P - Xbox 360 12/11/05 - 04/07/09

Today, my first Xbox 360. The first of two that I've had the pleasure of enjoying, and had a immense amount of fun with. Has died. She was a stout girl, dispite being one of first xbox 360's that ever was recieved and enjoyed. She lived a long life, knowing full well that a condition loomed over her that would one day claim her life.

The Red Ring of Death.

Now, after nearly 3 and a half years of gaming. She couldn't take it anymore, and gave into the condition that took many many xbox 360's before her. I bid her my final farewell as I now have only one xbox 360 to enjoy. My beefier and far superior xbox 360 elite. Who is a much younger model and comes in that sexy black.

P.S - I've also noticed something with this generation, Two of my consoles have broke this generation. This has never happened to me before, 6th generation I lost 1 PS2 and that's it. This generation I've lost a PS3 and a Xbox 360. Interesting? You'll think with advancing technology, the technology would become more reliable.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

RIP

And the Xbox is a he IMO. =P

That sucks.. I guess you only have a Wii left. :P

Pixel Art can be fun.

Too bad it didn't break 6 months earlier for a free repair.

@smokedhostage

Nah, not really. That xbox I sorta gave away to my brother as a christmas gift when I decided that it's far more likely to red-ring than those shiny new elite models back in like. 07 or 08. I can't remember, So I bought a elite, wrapped the old xbox 360 in it's original packaging and gave it to him. He just called me up to say it red-ringed. So I still got my old xbox, but the first one I bought is now in RROD land.

I guess we should get rid of the sticky thread.

Sucks for ya though.

That's too bad. Sorry to hear it. Hardware reliability should be the most important thing for console manufacturers.

"She" was old, it was inevitable

What happened to your PS3 after it failed? Did you get it fixed?

It is better to die on one's feet

then live on one's knees

I hope she didn't suffer in the end...

Tease.
