I have onslaught(it's pretty cool, I've played it like 10 hours the I've never touched it again)
I have Super metroid and played it 16 minutes and then never touched it again. It's so boring... Metroid is a game that's supposed to be 3d tbh even though it's roots are in 2d.

I only bought it because people said it was better then metroid prime. Now I know it's just nostalgia talking. It's not the graphics that turn me off on this game, but the lack of puzzles, control, story(I love the scanning part in metroid prime and prime2)

Nah, it's not nostalgia - I played Super Metroid for the first time about eighteen months or so ago. Maybe less. The game is legitimately great, there are just certain values that carry between the games that weren't what you enjoyed about Metroid Prime.

Don't know what your problem would be with the controls, though, they're basically pitch perfect.

They're fine, but as I said, I only played the game for 16 minutes so I wasn't used to them. But they're nowhere near as good as metroid prime 3. But it's not fair to compare those games anyway, so just ignore whay I just said

I just think metroid is all about amazing envirements, great atmosphere, cool puzzles, scans that tell a deep story and stuff like that. The scans in metroid prime 2 were so great and sad at the same time. All those dead luminoth telling their last story.

Wow. I think I've found the first and only person who liked scanning in Metroid Prime.

A lot of people like the scanning in metroid prime series, but I guess a lot also disliked it. I wouldn't buy a 3d metroid game without the scanning in it though.

I like scanning in Metroid Prime 3 (haven't played the previous 2)

Metroid Prime 3 barely had any scanning at all.

I like having physical copies and I'm still buying plenty of old used games. But I often go for the price and confort of the VC (some games are sometimes more expensive and hard to find). And I don't also want to get yet another system at the moment, so I'm not going to buy a NES (which I hated as a kid), TG16 or C64 and I'm quite happy to play some of their games on my Wii.

I also like WiiWare games, and strangely the games that interest me the most on the HD systems are most of time PSN/XBLA games.

I don't have Wireless HI speed internet so I can't. You're not the only one!

I havnt bought any wiiware or VC games on the wii. I might buy some in the summer after the college semester is done.

I love it.

I own far more VC and WW games then straight up wii titles. I'd own even more if I didn't still own some of the games on my snes (super mario world, super punch out, contra III, secret of mana, etc).

I have more Disc-based games than WiiWare/VC, but there are some on there that are fun but not worth searching for the disc for. World of Goo is something you play for five minutes when taking a break from Brawl or something, so it's convenient to just have it there. Same with Live Arcade games and (I assume) PSN games.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I prefer disc based games on a whole, but I don't hate Wiiware/VC. It offers great games that would never make it in retail. Mega Man 9 is too short, and too odd to be able to compete against the likes of MKWii, Brawl, Galaxy and other Wii heavy hitters. It is still a phenomenol game though, and I love being able to play it. I am glad they exist just for that reason.

^^That also. In addition, aside from being quirky or short, some of these smaller devs would go bankrupt if they had to pay to get these games published on a disc.

I've only got three WiiWare games and no VC games yet. I am a little hesitant to buy VC games, especially since there are so many I have never heard of.
