Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Intrested in giving Fable II a try, but I don't know anything about Fable.

How long is the game?

Is the game worth replaying more than once?

What is the Fable series known for?

I know NOTHING about this game at all. I was just wonding what the 360 fans think of it.

I don't keep the same avatar for very long. usually I change it after a week or two when I see something else I like.

fable is actually known for heavy promises and not delivering.

the first game was boring to me i know nothing of the second but i dont think you need to play the first to understand the second.

i recommend skiping the original

But if you change it every week how will I know who you are?

IMO Fable, was fun, but flawed. Lionhead tried to do too much I think and the game suffered for it.

Fable II is (again IMO) a more refined experience, and therefore easier to get into and play. I think if you had to put a "shtick" to Fable it would be the freedom to play the game as either a good or evil character with game world ramifications to those decisions.

I enjoyed the hell out of Fable II, and probably would have played it a lot more than my original play through if it hadn't come out in that like 3 week window where the 360 was inundated with good games.

For the record, I didn't think the ending, did the rest of the game, justice, but it was still quite an enjoyable game.

I can tell you I haven't played the first Fable, but Fable 2 was in my top 3 favorite games of last year (w/ Gears 2 and GTA4)...

I spent at least 20 hours with the game, and I didn't even finish some of the side quests...its a really fun game, you should give it a go...

The game is anywhere from 15-30 hours long on your first playthrough. To fully explore the game, you will need at least two playthroughs, but the second will be shorter.

I am halfway through a third playthrough.

Essentially, the second game delivers on the promises made by the first.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

It's an amazing game. The story is fairly short, but there are several endings, and the game will play completely differentl depending on the chnoices you make.

It also has a very large world with plenty of sidequests and other things to do.

You can also buy any building in the game if you have enough money, mess with the town's economy and save everyone or ruin them. Also, you can marry anyone of the opposite sex if you properly court them (every woman in the game needs you to do different things), and you can then have kidswho will grow up to be just like you and have their own mini-adventures. If you're an asshole, they'll be an asshole, and if you're virtuous, they will be, too. Some sidequests only pop up if you're married and/or have kids, and let's just say that any family you may have is woven into the story later on.

Definitely has the most true role-playing of any role-playing game I've ever played, as you need a job in order to earn money (blacksmith, bartender, etc.)

Amazing game.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

i am playing for the third time cuz in the first i tried to be good but end up evil, the second i just wanted to be evil and this one I am doing everything in a good way to see what's the advantage, by the way is a great game and also if you get it try to play co-op with a friend, is fun too. the is about 20 hrs if u don't explore the game and go straight to the missions, but if u explore the world will take you tons of hours and entertaiment...i didn't get the DLC already but i plan to get....the bad thing about it so far is the few bugs on it, but you can live with it!
