It's an amazing game. The story is fairly short, but there are several endings, and the game will play completely differentl depending on the chnoices you make.

It also has a very large world with plenty of sidequests and other things to do.

You can also buy any building in the game if you have enough money, mess with the town's economy and save everyone or ruin them. Also, you can marry anyone of the opposite sex if you properly court them (every woman in the game needs you to do different things), and you can then have kidswho will grow up to be just like you and have their own mini-adventures. If you're an asshole, they'll be an asshole, and if you're virtuous, they will be, too. Some sidequests only pop up if you're married and/or have kids, and let's just say that any family you may have is woven into the story later on.

Definitely has the most true role-playing of any role-playing game I've ever played, as you need a job in order to earn money (blacksmith, bartender, etc.)

Amazing game.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
