i complete the game on easy, if its good i then play it on medium, if i think im up to it, i play it on hard

Default. If it's too easy, I bump it up.

usually normal for regular games. FPS is a little different. I only play FPS on PC, so I usually set it to hard. If the FPS was designed for console first, I'll usually play it on very hard.

i usually play on hard. the way i look at it, if you start out on hard, you don't know anything different, so it just seems normal. if you go from easy or medium to hard, then the game will seem much more difficult. but i only do that if there's something to be gained from playing on hard like achievements or unlockables or whatever.

I usually go to the default setting, or the medium setting if it's entirely your choice. The only exception I make is God of War. I always play that on the hardest setting available.

Usually default/normal, but occasionally I try hard first, and drop down a level if necessary.
