Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Other than DSi ware, is there really a need to buy a DSi?

The sneaky hidden thing is that the DSi is not a DS.
Computer hardware wise, it's more like the Wii as compared to the GameCube.

Nintendo dares not to introduce a totally new machine with DS sales quite high.
I expect DSi-ware will include titles that are not possible on the DS.

If the promise of that is enough, it's worth it.
Myself, I'll get one when the Intellivision emulator package is released on DSi-ware.

naw it's like should i get genesis or dreamcast *GENESIS RAPED DREAMCAST*
stay with the ds, dsi is not that much of an upgrade, an okay camera, nothing big

Except that the Genesis and Dreamcast were different systems with incompatible games.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I would say if some killer apps come out that use the camera like the new Wario Ware game does or require the use of the SD slot, then it might be worth the purchase, but until then I think the absence of the GBA slot is enough reason to skip it.

there are games that use the camera, a new amazingly good nintendo ad, shows this.

its on gametrailers.

My DS "fat" needs replacing, and I think the DSiWare will be good for killing time....

Even though there's no GBA slot in the DSi models? I wouldn't count that "fat" DS out yet

Im buying it mostly because of the opera browser and thats its going to use the WPA key code to connect (the browser), but also secondly for the larger screens and the blue color, i love blue thats why i imported the ice blue DS lite. The DSiWare is a good addition too.

Does anyone know oif the Opera browser in the DSi allows one to connect through connections in hotels/airports? The cartridge based Opera browser could not.

Im buying it cause theres certain to be a Warioware for it.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I was considering buying one at launch, but now I'm going to wait and see what comes out for DSiWare. Hopefully there are some impressive titles released for the service.

Well ,you havn't had to buy if you don't need it.

For me my reason is.

-Bigger screen
-Louder sound
-Cameras(Honestly ,taking pictures everyday whenever you want is fun.Surprisingly fun.)
