Stupid move by Capcom. If anything should be exclusive it will be DR2.

Why make DMC 5 an exclusive?  Is it some belief in cosmic justice, so there can be spite back at XBox fans?

Even after reading all this, AT MOST, I can say is MAYBE it is a time exclusive.  MAYBE it is a timed ANNOUNCEMENT exclusive (see Assassin's Creed and PS3).  Maybe the only thing is that the 360 is Capcom's lead console for development.  I don't see exclusive here.  And if what they are developing it on is multiplatform, then it could go PS3.  This being said, I see some of these possibilities:

1. Moneyhatting by Microsoft.

2. Development studio/Capcom doesn't feel it will sell on the PS3.

3. Delayed release.  This, for a B-level title like Lost Planet, would be fatal to PS3 sales.  It was fatal for a game like Bioshock.  It would be here also.

I have a 360 and don't have a PS3,
but my opinion still hasn't changed on the game.
I played the first one and I really don't care for it.
This news does not excite me at all and I could care less what platform it is on.

This will be a game that I'll buy or ignore based on word of mouth and reviews.

1) No doubt about that. Capcom has enough knowledge and experience about all platforms to go multiplat. Ignoring the Japanese userbase as a Japanese studio doesn't make sense.

2) That's their mistake then, look at Biohazard / Resident Evil 5

3) True, unless the game turns out to be A-level, or they are able to improve it to A-level. Guess we have to wait how this one turns out.

no its not a xbox exclusive lol.xbox fans take things the wrong way always and say things without thinking.it never said it was exclusive.capcom released an exclusive video announching on xbox live during a res evil 5 video that they were developing lost planet 2 for the xbox.but heres were it comes in,not once did they say it was exclusive.all they said was an xbox version was in development.

capcom aint stupid,they wont release a game on 1 consol especially after announching exclusivitys with them is over and they definitly wont starve the ps3 anymore wat with ps3 owners buying more games than xbox

Ehm... This doesn't say any thing about being 360 exclusive... It says it premiered on XBL and it's being developed on the platform. If it is exclusive, Capcom am fail if they don't use their multi platform release. And no, timed exclusivity isn't multi plat it benefits sales on only one platform. Don't be dumb Capcom.

The source is questionable at best. However if this does prove to be true, I'm fairly sure it will involve Microsoft's new plan of buying exclusivity of games as opposed to developing it themselves. I don't know the cost differentiation between the two avenues but I could see this being a good way to move in. I can't vouch for this particular title being a good pick though. MS should be buying out devs to make titles for IPs that MS owns themselves.

 I'd be happy if they didn't make a DMC5 full stop.
