RE4 is ~16hr game without the 'extra' levels you gain once you beat it. I take it you must not have ever played it.

Hell, best I could do was 12hrs on my 3rd playthrough with unlimited rocket launchers.

As for the other RE games, idk, never played them.

well i have been playing ff12 and am at 10 in lvl 18 when you compare this gen games to thing like that in last gen it really disappoints

You can't compare the length of a RPG with a survival horror/action game.

It won't be that short, that's insane after 4 years in development. GTA4 & DMC4 were disappointing compared to their last gen iterations, I really hope RE5 breaks that trend.

Me too.  That would put it with Killzone 2 in dev costs,  and the OP implied that RE5 cost even more.  I call BS on the entire thing.

Isn't 7-8 hrs the norm nowadays. I mean it sucks but most of these "next gen" games are that or even less. Only reason people give the others a break is becuase of their generic online modes.

I was expecting about a 10-15 hour game and I bet I will still probably get that so I'm not worried.

RE 5 will be a good game, I do think so after having played the demo, but the controls are an issue.
They're kinda like sex with no moisture or lube; you can do it but it sure ain't comfy...

It's not usually a measure of how fast it can be done, but the general time it should take on your first go.

RE4 took me just short of 24 hours for my first completion. I have since done it a number of times, with a genreal play now that I know what to do being about 8 hours... or if I try to go through fast I have one just over 3 hours... but it's the first time that counts.

For instance I think LoZ:TP was claimed at 50 hours.... it took me 50 to complate the main story the first time (and a further 20 to find the rest of the ghosts and other collectables)

This Gen do Blows. I'm still getting the game thought. The 7-8 hours will be way better than most of the crappy games out this gen.I feel the game is great and people have......TO FUCKING HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS GAME AND ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY!!!!!!!
