it must be sad to be marvelous, their highest expectation is harvest moon TOT on wii(NA) at 220K, they really are pessimistic.

I must say this in my mind is classic hardcore gaming glory.

Of course that means it will sell like garbage. I would take it any day over the new Ninja Gaiden, Prince of Persia, Assaasin's Creed, Tenchu etc. All million sellers and this poor game will struggle to 100K worldwide in my opinion.

I would just love it if Marvelous would get breakout hits with their excellent games like this and Little King's Story.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt

This game is going to rock!

They're not pessimistic. They like to keep expectations low and when expectations are exceeded, they're happy :P

That's like saying, "I just want to pass this class" and you make a D-. Cool, you got what you expected but you still did terrible.

Heh, that's actually what some kids aim for (though we don't get Ds. We get Cs to pass.) They just want a C, just so they can pass. Some don't aim higher.

Not the best example, I don't think :P Regardless, those games should pass expectations. Do you have another way of explaining why those expectations aren't so high and are likely to be passed? Or is the Wii just awesome like that?

What? Regardless of low expectations, guess what, those are still terrible numbers.

It's like Square Enix coming out and saying they only want to sell 1 million copies of FF13 in Japan. Yes, it'll do that, but those are terrible numbers.

(P.S. Any kid who is happy with just passing [this way they don't have to try] need a reality check)

OK, but why are expectations low when they are likely to be passed? It's the same with Wii sales for Nintendo too actually.

Because if they choose high expectations and when they fail to meet, stock falls.

When expectations are passed (even stupidly low ones), it looks to those who own stock.

This is more so a universal example.

That's...pretty much what I said. They keep expectations low (but not too low of course) and expect them to be passed.

Well, we disagree in that these are way to low. 56k for Muramasa is way too low as those sales are terrible and most definietly not make them any money.

Beautiful, beautiful game. Looks like spiritual successor to good old Usagi Yojimbo for C64. I know it's probably going to flop, but for me it's DAY ONE!
