I purchased this game some days ago and I'm totally impressed. Its graphics are really impressive, its electronic music is stunning, its hard but challenging in a good way, its overall aestetic design is incredible (shipsm circuits, menus,...). IMO is the best racing game of this year, better than all the other full price ones. Just can't wait to see how it will be a full price version if Sony decides to it, hope this game have lots of downloads.

And during holidays it is only at 14.99 so I strongly recommend Wipeout HD to annyone interested in very fast, smooth and stylish racing games.

Its one of the best psn games imo. And it supports trophies ;)

How much does it cost??

15 euros in Europe during holidays (got a 5 € discount).

I like Burnout Paradise and Grid more.

I would get it but does it still have that thing where if you grind up against a wall you lose alot of your speed? I remember watching videos ages ago be4 I had a ps3 but cant remember :(

Best racing game of 2008 is a bit much, though. I'd say it's second to Burnout Paradise.

 There is an option that enables driving aid and makes it a little easier. Anyway, some practice is needed to drive smoothly.

 cool, and I got one more question :p Are the weapons still usable? Have you played any of the extreme g games? As thoes games evolved the weapons almost became pointless, does wipeout still hold onto the weapons as a key game play feature or do they feel sticky taped on for the sake of it? Like are they as usable as mario kart weapons?
