My friend plays on a 15 inch SD crt tv
to be honest, I prefer how my Wii looks on my approx 32 inch crt than his PS3 does on that tv

The J man never use to think much of hd until he played gears of war 2 on a hdtv first then on a sdtv later. The J man honestly thought the game or tv was broken because it looked like utter shit.
Now the J man has a hdtv set and is replaying all his games because his crappy sdtv didnt do them justice.
If you have a fairly recent monitor , try getting vga cable for your ps3. Trust the J man they will look much better.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
HD is my standard now, so when i plug my ps3 or 360 into a SD tv, i just cant believe the difference.
Mine's a nice old standard def TV. I think it's about 12 years old now, but it's nice and big. I can't wait to get a new TV...
Yeah I do, on a 31" Sanyo.
Trying to convince myself I want a Bravia though.
The jump to HD is marginal in picture quality and barely perceptible in sound quality. You can spend thousands of dollars to push things a tiny bit further, but must of us have better things to do with our money.
But whatever. The last data I'm aware of is admittedly pretty old, but the last time anyone cared to study it, over 80% of PS3 and 360 users were "still" using SD.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

I used to play on a 22" SD, now I play on a 32" HD-Ready. The difference is massive.
after reading the above few posts, i gotta get me one of them full HD tv's, everytime i play pixeljunk monsters, the right side of the screen is more purple than usual... anyone ever tried reading on an SDTV? very painful when you strain your eyes for long period sof time.
Game consoles wreck HDTV's. I play video games on a cheap SD TV which costs little to replace.
I used to be SD-only, but last night I picked up a sweet 32" 1080p behemoth that's going in my dorm room. So it'll be halvsies for each
