LBP not huge confirmed. People made the same excuses about Racthet & Clank.

I'm not surprised, Sony fanboys overhyped it and now the low sales are going to be the target of trolling for months to come.

Sigh...

I wonder if this will stop by the time we reach page 10.

Probably not.

Just let them have their fun. We'll bump this thread up next week and laugh at them.

Atleast some of the people who make regular intelligent posts are continuing to make them without bias unlike some people in this thread *stares at Starcrafts Posts*

To me, with LBP it's not the first week sales or the 2nd week sales, it's what the sales for it will look like come week 6. Cause if it fails to expand into the "Blue" like Sony wants, then regardless of sales it failed unfortunately*...

*This is NO WAY indicates the quality of the game...

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

because as much as I disagree with a lot of the things zenfolder says he is as hardly as big of a troll as claude and it doesn't take any effort or intelligence to be a troll.

I don't know about racist, because i don't know if confusing Muslims with Indians is racist, Muslim is a religion, followed by people from any ethnic group, Indians are 2 ethnic groups associated differently in India and the Americas... It probably is a confusion unless it's on purpose, then i don't know how to call it...

Allow me to explain before you stomp off.

These numbers aren't the first week numbers, necessarily.

However, the launch was botched by Sony and as a result, 2 things happened.

A. The games sold this week, will be subtracted from the real "first week" numbers, as if they didn't exist, because it will actually be the second week the game was on sale in the US, as before today it has been a "limited release." When movies get a "limited release" you cant' combine that opening with the real opening and call it a grand total.

B. The availability of this game during week 1 will be lower than it would have been, had the recall not taken place.

Thus, week 1 numbers will and are being reduced because of the launch debacle. Potential week 1 numbers will never be known, and yes, fanboys will declare ownage over this via "lying by omission" for at least another 2 months.

Now, you may stomp off. I know this thread has been dramatic for Sony fans, because rampant fanboyism will always entertain the worst case scenerios on both sides of the ball. That said, much of this is a direct response to the "LBP will be huge" goading PS3 fans have been throwing around all week, after the hating and hurting they attempted to put on Fable 2, via review scores, and sales potentials.

Sorry if I upset you further.

Take solice in the fact that LBP is a great game, that is destined to become a top selling franchise.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

You can't criticize me until you guess at least one of the Nitnendo songs in the contest.

Watch it now, you don't want the mods on your ass because you're flipping out over LBP's lukewarm reception. And you're hardly in my league.

I never really understood why people got so emotional over sales numbers, but the situation wouldn't have been like this had the forums not been flooded with "LOL LITLBIGGPLANT WIL B HUGE!111!!111"
