I don't hate my PS3. Its the best $500 I ever spent for a Movie Entertainment System. Heck I used it to play all the games I missed on the PS2 that I never got a chance to play(never own a PS2, just PS1, Gamecube & Xbox).

because they alienated their casual fanbase by releasing a 600 dollar console...the only reason u need really... I even thought about jumpin ship... once they did that... they instantly became known as the most expensive console with no games

I think Sony can survive a bit of hatred. Most corporation hate is unjustified anyway. Poor 'ol Microsoft has been hated since hating corporations was a cool thing to do.

well lol it beats me, sony gave everyone the ps1 and ps2 so i dont see why ppl can hate them.

i guess its just fanboys that do ppl whom most of them dont even own one and talk trash about it.

but we dont bother with them, we are set to enjoy great games for remainder of the year and beyond

I don't hate Sony. I generally avoid buying their products though. Everything I've ever owned from them has stopped working well before it should. Maybe I just got unlucky with some lemons, but it's still hard for me to justify buying anymore of their products.

I hate Sony because they copy and talk so much BS!! And pleas nobody ask me “since when?”

This isn't texting on a cell, you can spell out why, hate and other words easy.

But PS3 is the competition of the console "insert person here" like, I would want my console of choice to do better then any other console too.

Same reason people hate Nintendo and Microsoft.

They are just the competition, and as opposed to promoting your own products, putting others down seems to be easier (and more enjoyable in some cases).

Personally, I dislike Sony and Nintendo right now, even though I own both their consoles and a Bravia TV. It's nothing against the companie's themselves, but because of their business decisions.

Nintendo because they haven't shown any real intention to satisfy the core gamers that have stuck by them through the tough years by not ensuring they secure third party support (by money or by development tools) which is really disappointing seeing as how we only have Wii music to look forward to from the Big N.

Sony because they haven't shown any real intention of holding onto the third party support they were given by being the leader last gen. I don't care about exclusives, I don't care about consoles sold other than the ones sitting in my living room, I care about games and me having to wait 1+ years to get a hold of games because Sony refuses to spoil MS's party is ridiculous. You may be stopping the monetary bleeding Sony, but you're losing the monetary source by failing to support your consumers.

@Oliminator: I don't think a 14 year old, who's parents bought them their PS3, should talk about not being able afford their console, because you don't own that console, your parents do.
