About the console itself, of course its not next gen, the hardware itself is really a gamecube the revolutionary feature of the Wii isnt the hardware anyway, its the controller.

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out

So many bitter tears and excuses...
Of course the Wii is current gen, and its hardware is far more advanced than both its competitors.
You just have to put them one next to the other to realize the two big competitors are poorly made compared to the slick Wii.
The Wii is approaching 2 years old and I still see lots of bitter tears as soon as someone posts facts about it that shatter pipe dreams of its haters.
The OP was just amazing in shattering yet more pipe dreams of Wii being last gen.

Huh?
First you say it has less memory than the Xbox, which it certainly doesn't (91 MB is more than 64 MB), then you say it has Xbox + GC total memory, which it doesn't (91 MB is less than 107 MB).

I thought it was a funny jab at the people who say the Wii is last gen.
Wii is last gen when it comes to processing power, but it is even older gen when it comes to actual console(Yes, I am thinking snes, nes). It is only console that is really a console. :P
it means to me that we left the 6th gen 3 yearstwo soon on all consoles, none the less, i enjoy my true seventh gen games and the amzing game play that could not be done last gen, such as deadrising with the hundreds of zombies, and look foward with great hope for the future
