I agree with voting on time it takes, no point giving WKC a 1 because everything is easy if you got 500 hours spare to grind it out. Hell if I could be bothered to put that much time into Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 I know I could also plat that game. Difference is one game I would of almost never died and not even watch the game a lot of the time when playing and the other I spent the time improving, but at the end of the day they would of took the same time to plat.

Lots of Ps3 trophies ratings suck, I think its best to vote before looking at what other people rated as im sure it will influence peoples vote. Dont want to look stupid giving a 7-8 when everyone else gave 4.

I have to bring this up, I'm getting close to platinum in LA Noire, I played through the game once and just using guides for collectables/5 star every case.

There is absolutely no challenge to this platinum, everything is essentially collectables, be it cars, reels, clues, the questioning even has a guide to get everything right.  There are a few exceptions like stay above 80 for 10 seconds, kill with all weapons, chase down a runner etc but that are all very easy and should be earned just by playing normally.

PS3T ratings are all very high, the majority being 10, the next highest being 9.  How can these ratings be taken seriously?  Should be a 1 star.

I'm sorry to hear that.

The fun of being a detective is testing your ability of finding clues, logical analysis, and just bring smart and meticulous in general. If those things aren't there, then that would be disappointing as you say.

How is the story though, in your opinion (withou spoilers please)?

I can see how you would hate the game if you've just been using guides for the cases on your first playthrough.  I'm guessing you're skipping driving sections as well.  The high ratings are probably due to just how tedious some of the trophies can be.  Auto fanatic was miserable, just driving up and down streets for hours, looking for the tiny difference in the back of the car to find the one you need, or needing to replay half a mission to get to a certain spawn.  Same with shamus to the stars, even when you're skipping all the cutscenes and having your partner drive, those cases can still get really long when you've already played them once.

With that said, I'm glad I didn't use a guide on my first playthrough even if it probably added another 20 incredibly boring hours to my platinum.

I'm glad KylieDog has proven my theory about LA Noire.  I won't be playing it until I can get it for 15 bucks.

I haven't started LA noire yet so I can't comment.

All I know is that you all need to buy the game now to boost the price of my TTWO stocks...

So, LA Noire blows.   I think it is impossible to fail a case, or at least very very hard to.  No satisfaction in solving anything because you can get an arrest spamming square in every questioning and ignoring most evidence.

What was the last game you truly and fully enjoyed? Im really quite interested because everytime i read one of your posts it seems you dont like the game you are currently playing, or at least the game is way too easy.

Most games are too easy, too much holding hands in games nowdays instead of just pointing a finger and saying "Off you go".  LA Noire doesn't even hold your hand though, it is more like spoon feeding you, bib and all.

Perhaps people do not realise and they actually think they are solving cases due to being smart.  They aren't.

I havent played La Noire so far so i cant say anything about it and I dont want to judge or critisize your opinion. It just happens everytime i read a comment of yours you critisize the game you are playing.

Therefore i am really interested, what was the last game you truly enjoyed?

Unsure, the latest new games I've played have been LA Noire, PS Move Heroes (Minigame collection...a poor one), Mortal Kombat (unbalanced roster, horrible horrible online for many reasons), Ass Creed Brotherhood (no challenge, story did nothing), Marvel vs Capcom 3 (excellent gameplay but a skeleton of a game and online matchmamking has issues), Killzone 3 (Unbalanced weapons/maps/classes, removed so many great options KZ2 gave players).

I cannot remember order of what I played before that.  Being critical of a game does not mean I dislike it.  In LA Noires case it does, but not in others.  I think the last release that I cannot fault at all was SSFIV.

Edit: Oh, Alan Wake I really loved despite criticisms, and only played very recently.

Most fighting games, if not all, have an unbalanced roster, so that's nothing new. You can't say that SSFIV's roster was balanced either, because there were a couple of characters in it that stood out from the rest. It's just that you don't see it now because of how long SSFIV has been out and people have practiced enough with other characters to make up some difference.

When I say unbalanced I mean massively unbalanced.  SSFIV is arguably the best balanced fighter out.  The AE update will ruin that though.

Its a shame AE Edition won´t have a new trophy list :)

Infamous 2 imports your inFamous trophy data to grant rewards and alter story.

Wow! Here is a really cool use of the trophy system for a sequel. Great for people who lost their inFamous save data.
