Forums - Gaming Discussion - Struggle for equality, development still disfavouring the PS3? (Fracture)

Quaz51 "Fracture is 1152x648 no AA on PS3 and 1280x720 no AA on X360"

Lead Platform: ???? (Aparantly based off the Force Unleashed engine which was a PS3 lead project. Confirmed/Deny)

I would personally call this a failure in the development process at some point as the goal is usually equality. I don't know if they ran out of time for release before optimizing their PS3 engine fully or if they designed the game to use too much memory from the Xbox 360 which the PS3 could not deliver etc.

So tell me, what do you think went wrong in the development process which caused this inequality?

I downloaded the demo and then forgot to play it. So yeah I agree. That seems like such an insignificant difference also.

Oh my fucking god!

The PS3 version has a few hundred less lines of resolution than the 360 version!

It's unplayable!!

Don't touch the inferior version!!11!!

I don't blame that on the console, I blame that on lack of experience for the developers..there hasn't been much in terms of complaining about programming for the PS3 lately, so like I said - it's the developers..

And I agree...who cares about fracture? =P

Not a big difference..not a surprise.. i never expect better graphics in ps3 versions..

Lazy developers strike again. Too lazy to AT LEAST make the games on par with each other.

I think for the First time ever I completely agree with Squilliam....

LOL! I can't be that bad...

Anyway unequal development can range from slight differences such as visual quality to framerates etc which impact the more important area of playability.

I think since the PS3 version costs as much as the Xbox 360 version they should do a better job of delivering an equal experience as you're paying the same money so you should get the same experience.

fracture is an insignificant game that will sell a few hundred thousand max in its lifetime.
