The wierd part is that alienware is the cheapest custom laptop I found( also the best) it costs about 2100 while others cost 2400

I also need some help. I just want a laptop that will run Age of Conan.
If anyone can help find a nice laptop with some gaming capibilities. That'd be great. Price really isn't a question.
I just built a Dell XPS. Looking good.
What does everyone think of this?

alianware is over priced, you could get a laptop with the same specs they are pushing out for like half the price easy
For cheapo laptops I'd choose Dell. If you really think you need a "gaming" laptop I'd go with a Sager or other Clevo derivative.
I have a Dell XPSM1210. the old 12 inch laptop for less than 4.1 lb
and I love it, good combination of size (even thought the screen might be too small for some) and gaming ability.
The new Dell XPS M1310 looks awesome, with really good price point and below 4 lb. 13.1 inch is a sweet spot.
Look into it

The most important quality in a laptop is durability. It isn't like a desktop where you can replace most of your parts if one goes bad.
Historically the most reliable PC laptops have been ThinkPad and Toshiba. Dell is supposed to be OK too. I don't know about Asus.
Avoid Compaq, HP, Gateway, and even Sony. Sonys have a lot of features, but they just don't hold up.
