Every time I see that I scratch my head wondering how it can sell more than the Standard X1 controller and Dualshock 4.

99% sure it will. Because production don't start till end of Q2, read it yesterday on twitter.

If Summer doesn't slow down the virus then no, I don't expect next gen this year.

Some experts are saying if it slows down in the summer it could puck up again in the fall. If thats the case or if it goes through the summer postponing next gen would be smart. Devs are working from home so productivity is lower and some games might not make launch.

I don't think there will be any issues with hardware numbers for next gen launch the big problem will be having events to allow press and people hands on to play and promote next gen along with delays on software development been the bigger reasons if a delay were to happen.

I had a feeling the banished will play a big part in Halo Infinite and the new book reassures this. Hopefully the Promethean's take a step back, and they reintroduce the flood in a big way. 343 needs to bring some horror back to the Halo games.

Next gen is not getting delayed 99%. The fact that the whole industry was prepared for this date makes it almost impossible to delay it. It would result in a huge money loss for almost anyone involved and no one wants it. But production issues will put both MS and Sony in a terrible situation with two different way outs. First, go normally as was projected and face supply issues, when customer demand for the consoles won't be satisfied in lots of months after launch. It will of course disappoint lots of people because they would need to wait months to get their hands on new consoles. Second option is to decrease demand artificially by raising prices. Like, sell Series X at launch for 600$ instead of the rumored $500 price tag. If I were Microsoft, I would prefer first option even though it will result in some disappointment among those who would need to wait for a long time to get their hands on consoles but it would be consumer friendly approach and I think it would work better. Second option is of course business approach. Get rid of stock supply issues and make money on hardware at the same time.

Aren't consoles mostly manufactured in China? They seem to be getting on top of this thing over there, so I would expect that they can still hit a holiday launch window, barring any unforeseen set backs.

Isn't China 'under control' cause most of the country is in quarantine though? Lol. Who knows how long that will last and if the virus won't just return and spread again once it's lifted.

Im also worried that if the virus returns or last til the Fall it would be hard to have events to promote them. Also in some ares large gatherings are banned so idk how that would affect launch lines.
