Impressive numbers for Switch. Only 300k away to outsell XONE!

So what does that make the Xbox total for the month in the us? Something seems very off about that number but maybe I need the full picture

Come on, it was so close to outsell the XBO.

Is it possible to reach 50 million by the end of the year ?

Is that the highest week for Switch ever?

It's easy to forget that the XBO has such a strong holiday compared to the rest of the year. Seeing a console that's been posting 50k weeks for a lot of the year suddenly jump to almost a million.

Good sales all round. PS4 should finish the year with about 106.5m sold so below my prediction. Probably 14.4m-14.8m for the year.

Switch it all depends on how big an impact the lack of Smash Bros has on December. If it will be down/flat/up YoY is hard to say. But it's clear my 18.8m prediction has been well and truly FACKED. I blame the Switch Lite's sudden emergence.

Switch should finish the year with 19.5m-21.5m sold.

Not only is my 18.8m prediction wrong, but I predicted 2020 would be the peak over 2019 and now I think I'm going to lose that wager too.

Yep, previous best week was 22nd december 2018, with 1.47m.

Everything considered PS4 is doing really hot, and the switch is quite literally entering the prime of its life,

Sales aside i do wish the PS4 had a permanent 199 price cut due to the fact that the dollar has done nothing but go up in value absurdly in this last 4 years (pretty sure it is more expensive now that it has ever been in my life), and the consequence of that is that the PS4 is still as expensive now in my country as it was when it came out, i know some guys who want one but sadly cant afford it.

Switch leap frogs X1 next week then as far so sold to consumer goes while shipments at this point are pretty much all but above X1 the remaining weeks of the year will be how close to the SNES milestone can the platform get as it's currently 4.5m off the SNES.

All done great and yes Switch had a good lead.

Last year Switch sold another 5.63m after Black Friday. So even if it was flat YoY, Switch will end the year 50.2m easily beating the Snes!

Black Friday week was up by 19% YoY, so if the rest of the year followed it'd end the year with 51.2m, but without the boost from Smash Bros 2018 got it's difficult to say whether this year will be Up, Flat or even slightly down. I don't really know what to expect!

But outselling the SNES by the end of the year is pretty much guaranteed. Should be anywhere from 49.9m-51.3m

20.3m - 21.7m sales for the year, I think I lost the bet. I don't see 2020 beating 2019 anymore. If it does it'll be very close.

edit: One less week this year after Black Friday than last... so probably closer to 19.3m-20.7m sales for 2019. So there is a chance it doesn't quite beat the SNES this year imo.
