The NFC East sucks, but that might be exactly the reason why the Eagles could win the division with a positive record. All of their remaining four games are against NFC East teams. The winner of the NFC East should get at least to 8-8, so the Seahawks will remain the only division winner with a negative record.

The Redskins are 3-9 and still in the playoff race, so it's up to the Packers to eliminate Washington for good.

It's possible for any team to win the NFC East with 6 wins. They'd also be hosting the 49ers or Seahawks, who could have 12 or 13 wins, and at the same time Rams could miss the playoffs with 11 wins.

Wrap your head around all that for a moment.

Updated standings through this week (with the exception of PP, will get around to that).

Last week sucked.

I can't think of a time a coach has been fired like that, although the NFL is admittedly 100 years old now so there's plenty of room for something crazy to happen. That said...it's really rare (maybe even unheard of) for coaches to be hired from outside a team mid season. They're almost always promoted from within, generally because trying to get a grasp on a playbook in the middle of the year is really challenging.

I'm assuming you are talking about Ron Rivera he is going to get another coaching job pretty easily.  Plus he would be one of the prime candidates to be the next head coach for the Chicago Bears, but that further down the road since Matt Nagy has done enough to be the head coach again next season.

@MTZehvor I can't open the template again this week, so I can't check what my picks were. Here's who I want to pick in Sunday's toss-up games.

IND@TB - Buccaneers
SF@NO - Saints
CAR@ATL - Falcons
LAC@JAX - Chargers
TEN@OAK - Titans
KC@NE - Chiefs

This list may contain only one or two changes.

Are you making sure to sign into Google when making your picks initially? I've had a couple of people make edits this week fine, so the form should be fine.

49ers and Saints might be the two best teams in the NFL. Incredible match between two well balanced sides. Compared to the shootout between Rams and Chiefs last year, the defense was actually better than the score implies, and half the points weren't scored off Mahomeboy's turnovers.

Who are the people that said Drew Brees was fading? Looked as good as any QB I've seen this year.

George Kittle is the best TE in all of football.
Change my mind.

Brady is averaging more rush yards than the running backs, o-line which was trending up is back to not protecting shit, and great job signing a kicker two days before the game, really paying off. Another day with the Patriots offense.

Edit: I should say that blocked FG was almost completely on the blocking, but I still have no faith in the kicker regardless.

The Giants, Redskins, and Bears are/were playoff contenders? lol

There’s a difference between not mathematically eliminated and an actual playoff contender

Someone please explain why teams lose their challenges even when they win?

The challenge he used to challenge a first down was stupid. But you lose the challenge because they don’t want the game bogged down with challenges. You do get the extra for getting two right.

Pats suck. The offense is abysmal.

Refs taking some big Ls this week
