Switch more than 3:1 over PS4.

How come PS4 increased over last week, was there a deal, holiday, or did it get a bump for that Samurai game?

More the baseball game than Samurai Showdown. after all, the latter sold only 16k copies while the former sold a good 75k.

Huh? The baseball game at 75k is for Switch.

I think those SMM2 numbers are good. In the end, what matters the most are the game's legs and I'm sure it'll have reeeeeally long ones.
Will be interesting to see how well YW4 will do in the long run but that 73% drop doesn't make me too optimistic about it.

Whoops, my bad! Thought it said PS4.

This year's baseline for the Switch is 40.338 up 5,8% from 38.126 while PS4 baseline is 14011, -27,97% compared to last year's 17.930

The PS4 this week is -38 units compared the same week last year. A flat yty week

Update: Charts corrected

Ca you remind me the method to calculate this "baseline" ? I am a statistician in the automotive industry for 30% of my activity, so I was curious about this and I finaly decide to ask what is this thing.

Switch can match last year's sales with game releases alone. When Switch gets a revision and/or price cut, its sales will be notably up on a sustained basis.

This year does have a much better slate of games through (Northern Hemisphere) Summer and Autumn than last year, my one concern is whether Sword/Shield will be enough to keep pace with the combined boost of Smash Ultimate and Let's Go last year given that it has raised the ire of the fanbase.

Hi! Sure thing. Other user helped me with the method. It seems to be more accurate. Here are the steps:

1. Medium of all the weeks so far. Eg: the medium for the Switch in 2019 so far is 52.850

2. I get again the medium but only of the values that are lower than the "general medium" of number 1. Eg: There are 13 weeks that are lower than 52.850; using those values the new medium is 40.338

Hope it is clear, and if you have a better and more accurate method we can use, happy to know about it.

Ok. I am not 100% sure if this is the proper word but you take the "first quartile".

By the time the Mario Maker 2 boost starts to die down Fire Emblem Three Houses will arrive; I'm actually a bit of out of the loop with this one, is FE a system seller in Japan?
