CNN isn't gold standard either. You should try some 'stupid' Youtube channels like Rational National, The Humanist Report, The Secular Talk, Kim Iversen and so on, to accompany your classic media consum. Overall the most important is to keep an open mind.

Might as well point gun to my head.  I won't go to YouTube unless my car depended on it.  After getting hit by a truck my life and car depends on it a lot yet I still don't give a shit about "social media".

I don't say Reuters has untrue information. I even agree they are a good news source. But even they have blind spots. Ask yourself this: how much do you know about the Assange situation and the implications for democracy and free media?
