Well if any of you can travel by plane but waiting on Blathers to come to island (to get pole recipe) then you guys could come to my island or I could go to yours. I already have Blathers so I can make the pole that allows you to cross rivers. Let me know I'm about to log on in half hour or so.  Or even if you have airport open and pole I'm still down to go visit or have visitors.

TIP: don’t upgrade tools at all early on, DIY crafting, trashing tools, and crafting tools gives a large amount of Nook Miles.
TIP2: I’ve found focusing on the quests is the best way for short term progress and longer term goals.
TIP3: There is a work bench on the other islands you can fly to, but bring tools for convenience.
TIP4: look on flowers for bugs when on islands. on my first island I did the stupid thing of collecting all the flowers and only noticed a ladybug when I had like 3 flowers lefT.

POTENTIAL TIP? - I am also not sure if this was available day 1, but at the store if you hit the R button you can access more stuff like tools, including a shovel.

I was visiting my wife, caught 2 oarfish and 2 coelacanths... and she caught nothing of high value during this same timeframe. I am unsure, but fishing might work better in friend towns. Also, it should be noted that this was late night and rainy.

Observation, I have never seen such high volumes of Switch users online at once as I have in the past 36 hours. Animal Crossing Switch might be the Breath of the Wild of the series sales-wise, we will see.

Damn it I want to hear the hourly music! I'm guessing that happens once town hall is built. Other than that, lovin it! Also, my Walmart did indeed sell it for $50. I wonder if that's a new thing now like Amazon and Best Buy used to do, selling games below MSRP on launch, or just my store being silly. Eitherway I ain't complaining, I woulda been glad to pay $60 but this works too!

Wal Mart has been selling Nintendo first party games for $49 since last year I think, they're my go to now.
