If you're in "dark" mode, the mention will now be in a more readable color - @Ganoncrotch

We'll start here, and I can always lighten it further...    ...it's still "black" for the "standard" and "blue" themes.

I am able to reply but not qoute and it has to be a quick reply at the bottom of the thread as the reply button has the same issue. Only requesting the desktop site alleviates the issues.

I was on mobile yes.

Ok - let's dig into this a bit more...

First, as I mentioned above - the mobile mention is currently unavailable (and, as I described in the OP, manually typing out the mention was intentionally scrapped). I will be revisiting this.

Second, and more important, let's figure out what's going on with your ability to reply in mobile. Obviously, the quick reply will always work because that's just a standard text box, nothing fancy - but I'm more interested in sorting out why you can't seem to use the editor. If you click "Reply" or "Quote" underneath a post, are you saying nothing at all happens??? What browserdevice are you using?

I'm using a Samung s8 with Chrome. When I click quote it brings up the rich text reply box but has a little notepad symbol in the middle with the rest blocked by an opaque gray ans yes, I can use the rwply box at the bottom of threads but not the rwply button under users for the samd issue.

Everything in the above reply is my opinion, from my own perspective and not representative of reality outside of my own head!

-Android user, please be gentle with critique on my spelling.

Ok - yes, that is "normal" and "intended" functionality (not MY intended functionality, but functionality as designed by the TinyMCE developers!!). When you see that box with the symbol, just click the symbol and you'll be in "edit" mode. When you're done typing your response, hit the "left arrow" at the top left and then click the normal "submit" button.

Again - this is NOT my UI choice, this is how the mobile editor was designed by the developers. Let me know if you're still having problems...

Oh, I see. Using it now but the reply feild gets blocked by ads. Still works though, cheers.

Any chance on getting an alternate payment method for supporter status? And does ads on the mobile reply go along with site ads?

3 - The mention capabilities will NOT work in the "mobile" version of the editor! This is an unfortunate restriction in the mobile interface, that I have no control over. Which means I'm forced into one or two decisions:

    - Allow for manually typing a "mention" as I had originally designed (the onus being on the user to correctly type the "@" sign, followed by the complete and accurate username)

    - Add a setting to the User Preference page, which will allow users to disable the mobile editor and see the full desktop version of the editor while in mobile.

Well, why not make both an option? An option to manually mention users and one to have desktop version on mobile too.

Also: @TalonMan Great work, Thank you!!

Yeah, I've heard about the ads getting in the way of the mobile editor - I will definitely need to look into that at some point.

As for alternate payment methods, so far as I'm aware, PayPal is the only option (it keeps us from having to be responsible for credit card transactions and security - better for you, AND for us!!). I didn't know PayPal stopped allowing for Guest checkouts, though - that kinda sucks. Maybe easiest for you to just create a new PayPal account? I know I've had several accounts in the past, linked to the same bank account - so it should be possible.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Yeah, I'm thinking on it. The other factor I need to keep in play, is I'm already testing out the "latest and greatest" V5 of TinyMCE (this is the current, major release) and there are some framework changes necessary in order to implement. So, do I spend time tweaking this functionality (knowing that it will probably require even MORE work, after the upgrade)? Or postpone till after the upgrade (which I still don't have a good estimate as to when it might go live)?

Decisions, decisions...
