People have the right to complain about whatever they want to, that's our world.

Doesn't mean I don't think it's weird that people complain about a company not allowing sexual games featuring depictions of kids (underaged characters) on their platform.

teenagers aren't kid, and pixels aren't people.

Fixed it.

Makes no difference, pixels don't hurt people.

Video game characters don't hurt people. All I said was defending the idea of depicting kids in sex games is weird, even though they're just video games.

I'm just saying it's easy to see WHY Sony do not want games like that on their platform. They're not trying to get them removed from existence, they just don't want it on their systems and they're perfectly in their right to do so, same with the epic games store. Steam is a place these people can go to.

For me it is more than weird, but their removal doesn't really benefit anyone.

And the problem on this for me is that Sony is doing it out of external pressure and fear of #metoo movement and gamergate. They are basically bending over and taking something that is acceptable in Japan to please non-gamer on the west.

These games sell very little.

Also it worries some people that this could lead to more censorship, like some games that Sony was already not allowing release overseas, some censor in ports like happened to Yakuza series.

I really couldn't care why they're doing it. Also I've not seen some big push from these movements to go after these games. It's more so just normal people saying 'what the fuck is this shit'.

This has always and is still happening. Mortal Kombat 11 is acceptable in the West yet is being blocked in Japan. There has always been blocks between different countries of different media. It sucks but this isn't something that's going to lead to more censorship it's always been happening, this is just 1 case that for some reason people have jumped on to attack.

There is a difference between not releasing something on a market they would get lawsuit (as some of these games don't get released in some markets because it would be illegal) to abolish that content from the platform worldwide. Their PR itself show they are doing it because of these movements.

This seems somewhat disingenuous. There have been reports of underage girls working in night clubs brothels etc. The creator of Kenshin was only given a sub $2000 fine for being in possession of child porn. Recently, a father who raped his own daughter twice, was found not guilty even though the court said that he did commit the sexual abuse.

Sex crimes related to minors happen in Japan. They just go undocumented for the most part. Also, crime is on the rise in the country. This is anecdotal but I am in contact with Japanese people every day and they all share the same opinion that Japan is not nearly as safe as non-Japanese make it out to be. But this does depend on where about you live in the country.

Have I claimed japan have no violence, rape or pedophilia? Nope, I claimed Japan have very low crime rate which include them. So the presence of these games aren't really what is harming kids in Japan or elsewhere.

One could even claim that is better that there are pixel porn with looks of under age people than real child porn, because people that like this type of material will go to get it, so the first one at least doesn't harm any child. Also as I said, PS is a closed environment so every purchase have an account and it certainly can be traced to a real person if police wants. So they can have all people that buy this material followed closely and arrest him as soon as he go a toe ahead of what is lawful.

I never said that you said no violence.

Playing a small role still contributes to the overall reasons why kids are harmed.

You could also suggest that allowing such content is what can enable someone to go further.

Do you have any serious research that these games have harmed or played any role on it? I would bet there are a big number of causes that are legal and accepted that play a bigger role.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

No, I don't. Though it sounds like you don't either.

So what if they play a bigger role? As I said, even if the game content in question plays a small, or lesser, role still means that is a cause.
