"You can watch live on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter or Facebook worldwide, and we’ll be offering up the VOD edition shortly after the episode airs."

Directly from the Blog post. Looks like it will be a live broadcast.

I mean I live broadcast with live presenters. Not a live broadcast of a pre-recorded video.

I get the impression that when they say live, that is what they mean. If it was prerecorded I don't think they would be putting up the VOD edition shortly after, they would just upload the prerecorded video to begin with.

Maybe a price cut? This would be a nice time to announce one for April

More dates throught the year to get hyped about a new LoD coming.

It’s interesting how in Spanish speaking countries instead of seeing this as a good thing, people are complaining about Sony copying Nintendo and all of that BS

Good thing, Sony needed to do more marketing about their games, specially PSVR games.

This is likely to get the kinks worked out for PS5 announcements and if people gravitate to this show program, it will just support what Sony said and what Nintendo has been doing for a few years now.

I was wondering when they would get on the nintendo wagon. Xbox does events like this, so its good to see Sony doing it too. Nintendo leading the way and Sony following, this isnt a dig, this is actually great. This means not only do we get Nintendo news at a steady pace with directs but now we are gonna get the same but with PS4/PSVR titles, hype

I remember when Sony did Qore monthly. I'm definitely on board with this.

That's a name I hadn't heard in a while. I actually enjoyed that and it's originality. If this is more like that, then I'll be down. If it's just their version of a Nintendo Direct, then I'll probably ignore it.

You are absolutely right though, this is the one area that Nintendo actually beat Sony and Microsoft to the punch in the online space.

Sony had Qore before NDs were a thing

Sony has been doing video series way before nintendo even cared!!

Sony even took the concept further and built

Non of these delivered new information like a Nintendo Direct. They all just showed of previews like you would get from a Magazine or a Website, and most of the time it was news that had already been covered by other media outlets.

PlayStation Home did offer an enhanced version of major events like E3 and TGS letting us walk a recreated show floor. That was cool, unfortunately Sony pulled the plug on Home. Had they continued Home, it would be the perfect place to hold these announcements.
