Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Capcom did it again to Switch! :( [Resident Evil]

RE4 must be one of the most released game iv heard of. It is just about on everything. Pricing sucks. Game should be getting cheaper not more expensive unless they remade the entire game, it does not justify the price.

Have you had a look at Capcom's profits lately? They have made plenty of good business decisions. Monster Hunter World was a global sensation and Resident Evil 2 Remake had very good sales as well.

Capcom's actual devs are fantastic. It's their executives who are fools. Every good decision they've made has been either getting out of the devs way (Monster Hunter) or accident (Resident Evil 2). The only reason they greenlit Resident Evil 2 Remake is because the HD re-release of REmake sold over a million copies. The two games aren't even in the same GENRE, so what sense does that make?

Maybe I misunderstood but are you saying RE1 & RE2 are different genres?

They should just get Nintendo to publish it, then about half the complaints would go away.

But then you wouldn't have the satisfaction of making this comment.

I'll still buy them. No buy no more resident evil games on the switch. You will only have yourself to blame

The remake of Resident Evil 1 and the remake of Resident Evil 2 are entirely different genres, yes. With a horror skin over both.

A better solution to this would have just been to make these digital only, and not put them on physical carts.

Like that would have made Capcom stop adding the Switch tax to their game. They are not going to miss a chance to exploit the Switch userbase, for some reason.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I like how they say in the video that fans consider 0 and 4 some of the best in the series. Who the hell thinks 0 is one of the best?!

*Raises hand*

😥

I thought RE0 was a fantastic game too! :)

Reminder that Mega Man 11 is the only new game Capcom has released on Switch, two years in. The company is run by monkeys who throw darts at a board to decide things. Prove me wrong.

Not really. They know Switch owners are totally willing to buy overpriced games.

Street Figher 2 sold very well at $50, iirc had a better opening week that MvCi, which was a brand new game.

You have to decide how to blame Nintendo fans properly. I thought the general consensus was that we don't buy 3rd party games, I guess it's that we blindly buy everything now? Even overpriced stuff? And that leads to even worse support?

I swear, we can never win.

All while everybody will happily spend $60 on link's awakening and pokemon lets go.

Well they are new games.

Also the port isn't the issue its that half the collection is digital. They companies need to understand we can already buy digital if we want. Those of us who buy physical like physical games for that reason lol.

There is at least 10 more Switch games I would have owned already if they were 100% physical and not part on cart and rest download.

I don't see why not. Nintendo already published Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Wii U, with the third one coming for Switch.

How did Nintendo price those Bayonetta ports? Was it similar to how the Resident Evil Collection put out by Capcom will be priced, with similar method of only one game on cartridge with the other being a digital download code?

Here Bayonetta 2 was sold at the same price as any single Nintendo game.

The difference here is they sold the game as Bayonetta 2, plus a bonus code to download 1.

This is Capcom calling it Resident Evil Origins Collection. A collection should contain the full content on the physical media. It leaves dangerous grounds here.

What is stopping EA from doing a FIFA Collection of every FIFA game ever made and all being digital but 1 lol
