Looks much better than Let's Go.

I can't wait to play this.

Really?

The 2nd character looks weird. 1st artstyle is better.

I hope you are joking.......

No, they should have went with let's go style.

Let's go looks way too boring, too simple, a style for 4 years old children.

Shield/Sword look actually like a game that artistically can please to most.

I loved it when I first saw it as I assumed it was actually open world but it seems its just another regular Pokemon game :/

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Why does the game look kinda ugly? I mean technically it’s looks like it’s been ported from Vita but gamefreak have never pushed the envelope there... artistically though, somehow they’ve lost the charm and cohesion and this looks like some random antelier/tales RPG

Gamefreak has always been a handheld developer, and even then they never pushed the hardware of the Gameboy, GBA, DS, or 3DS. This is the first brand-new game they've ever made for an HD system. Textures and shaders are clearly sub-par compared to other developers. Models remain too basic, but with over 800 Pokemon that's very understandable. But the environments actually look very good with the art and vibrant colors. It's a mixed bag, but considering the developer is known for making games that are low-end technically even on systems that only do 240P it's a good start visually.

Geez, the amount of bellyaching I've seen on the internet today. I thought the Let's Go era was bad, this is a whole new dimension of bitching

Looks pretty nice to me. I was hoping for a bit more of a grandiose, open world BotW vibe, but this still looks like the most epic Pokemon game yet. People are saying it doesn't appear to be a huge step up, which might be the case, though I haven't really played Pokemon since like gen 4, so to me it'll be a big leap at least. Random encounters is kind of annoying, but to me that makes it feel more authentic and more like the originals. I just think it's cool we'll finally be playing a mainline Pokemon title as both a console game and a handheld (with a far bigger screen)

Team Scorbunny! Always opted for the fire types ever since I was a kid playing Charmander almost 20 years ago, no sense in changing now!.

I like how vibrant are the colors. Textures don't look that good but it's only super noticeable when the camera gets too close to them. The game is still in development so the final product will look better than this (I think).
I like the designs of the starters, my favorite is the bunny, though I won't decide which starter to use until I've seen the final evolutions.
Like with every pokémon game, my biggest wish for Sword/Shield is that it has a lot of single-player postgame content.
