Forums - Sales Discussion - Global Software, 17th November 2018: Pokemon Let's Go debut

184 000 people bought Fortnite, a free game, for 30$

Looks like a great start for Pokémon Let's Go. I want to see how legs will fare, especially next year. I don't think it will ship more than 12m LT tho (which is really good for what it is).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I didn't know Fortnite had a physical copy you could buy. Well I guess I learn something new every day.

Some people don't care enough about short comings when it comes to Bethesda. A solid portion must used to be playing a glitch fest at launch?

I can't talk. I'm currently playing Battlefield V.

Preorders, dude.

Most of them are probably either preorders or day one buyers, with the first category being most likely the much bigger one.

Yeah it's definitely sold far more than it deserves, people are far too forgiving of Bethesda, and of most AAA publishers really. The amount of BS they get away with while still selling gangbusters is quite sad.

Hold it. How in the name of nothing sacred did Fallout 76 managed 1M sold when it was clear that it flopped on the market after it's first week ?

You guys do realize this is like a 77% drop compared to Fallout 4 and back to Fallout 3/New Vegas levels?

Fallout 3-980k

New Vegas-1.45m

Fallout 4-4.53m

Fallout 76-1.06m

That's a massive decline from FO4 and it wont have nearly as good of legs as FO3/NV.

Of course, but 1M is still way too much for that shitty cashgrab

Holy crap that's a fantastic first week for Spyro! 1M+ first week and it did beat Crash Bandicoot first week (Crash was PS4 exclusive at release)!

Actually no, I wasn't aware of that, thank you for providing this context.

Still, I have to agree with others here that it still sold more than it deserves.

Word of mouth has been terrible so legs will likely be much shorter than other entries.

Fallout 3-9.93m

New Vegas-8.42m

Fallout 4-14.75m

One can only hope. Just seeing it at nearly a million physical copies in its first week is a bit depressing.

I wish there was a petition to make the 2 Pokemon Let's Go versions combine

Is there any particular reason why the two versions of Let's Go are counted as separate versions.
