Good:

Octopath does extremely well for a new IP traditional JRPG despite shortages (Digital Ratio might be really high for this one)
Captain Toads does extremely well compared to the Wii U release
Switch sees an increase from previous week, however now it goes against 2017 Switch Splatoon overdrive
Nintendo themselves enjoy 9 out of the 10 top spots due to legs of many of their titles. 

Meh:

PS4 seems to continues to be stuck around 17,000, it really does need price cut sooner than later. 

Bad:

Mary Skelter 2 does about half of the first one
Shinning Forces does pretty bad due to releasing months after the PS4 version, also questionable choice releasing in the same week as Octopath Traveler

Moderate boost for Switch this week after strong first week sales (even with shortages) of Octopath Traveler as well as the port for Captain Toad. PS4 dropped another couple hundred units with only Mary Skelter releasing. Both consoles are selling around the same percentage of their AWN so they both continue onward but the short term prospects look particularly grim for PS4 with no big games on the horizon.

Isn't there a Monster Hunter World bundle releasing soon? Or is it a bad deal?

Great legs for kingdom hearts collection. Ps4 hardware steady at this slow time of the year. Looks like vita will hit 6m after all. Less then 100k to go. If we remember back to the threads years ago, so many of you doubted vita would get anywhere near 6m.

A new splatoon bundle, a somewhat big JRPG released, and preorders opened up for smash and pokemon. 2017 switch sales in japan are gonna make 2018 look really bad in the upcoming weeks, 50k is surprisingly low.

What thinking, are you implying the alternative to buying Octopath Traveler physical is Shinning Force and not Octopath Traveler Digital?

Wanted to say I expected a bigger boost for Switch due to Toad and Octopath, then I remembered Octopath is actually out of Stock. I expect Switch will drop back to around 45k next week. Switch still beasting and pac-man on a feeding spree.

Pokemon and Smash fans would be smart for them to wait to buy a Switch closer to the release date. There might be sales happening at those times..... bundles to appear......
