The US has passed a law protecting political donors from identification by removing the requirement of donors of $5000 or more to no longer have to identify themselves. This comes on the heels of NRA being identified as one of the organizations funded by Russia. The Treasury organization responsible for making this rule has been in contact with a Russian agent named Marina Butina, who has been charged.

I don't really wanna get into who's funding NRA. But I feel like you're ignoring the questionable sources dems get their money. Other countries, lobbyists that rely on government funding, etc. This is something the media ignored while Hillary was running with her massive campaign.
