Not a cache thing - there is definitely some quirky stuff with the header that is just now getting more notice, it seems (with the forum switch). What device/browser are you using? I'm planning to spend a significant amount of time, trying to straighten out that header...

I'm using an iPhone 6 with iOS 11, with the Safari browser :)

Seeing the response to the new forums warms my cold cold heart. Thanks for the support guys!

It think it ain't possible to subscribe to any threads right now ...

I just subscribed to this thread to test it out. The link is at the top of each page. Is it the link that doesn't work for you?

Just tried again, I think it just doesn't work with me then ... I don't why though ,-_-,

Do you get the message "Do you really want to subscribe to this thread?" when you click or does nothing happen at all?

Big whole nothing

Try hitting Ctrl+F5. It might be something with your cache. What browser are you using btw?

Which is what Ka-pi told me. Yet, as I said to him, I didn't notice that change at all until the roll out of the new forums.

This has definitely been a thing for many years now.  Most WYSIWYG text editors like the one used here use a double space by default.  Shift + enter is the common way to add just a single space.

This is not an issue for the Quick Reply box as it uses a different system.

If this has been a thing for years, then somehow I didn't notice it until the forum change. And as I said I almost never use the Quick Reply option.

I don't know, maybe it's the new size of the text that has make it more visible...

Please excuse my bad English.

Any chance the font can be made a little larger, its a bit hard to see on mobile with out having to zoom in.

I think font size 15px looks quite a bit better than the current 16px. 16px is OK-ish by itself, but I think it looks a bit large compared to other text elements on the forums. Also, the grey bar under (not below) post buttons (Reply, Quote etc.) has a humongous amont of empty space below the buttons, which increases the need to scroll without really providing much benefit IMHO. I'm not sure if there's a good reason for that space, but I don't see any so I'm assuming there isn't one.

Just for the record, I've made some small tweaks using Stylus, and my forums look like this:

Ok - so the font-size was originally 14px and I had changed it to 16px. It's now at 15px - have we found a compromise???  :)

As far as I'm concerned, it's good now. Thanks!

There's also a couple of other issues. First, and I assume this is known, is that just below the top navigation bar is an area where you can't click anything, even though there are links and stuff. There's Hot Topics, Forum Index, Latest Topics, etc. that are blocked by... something, but affects anything that's in the area right below the navigation bar. I tried fiddling around with the DOM tree and CSS myself but couldn't find a quick solution that didn't hide navigation bar elements as well. In case it matters, I'm using Firefox. Also, I found a slight overflow issue. The next page button flows overflows the main content column:

I seem to have the same issue in both Firefox and Chrome. I didn't check in Chrome but in Firefox, nothing interesting seems to print in the browser console either.

...seems it's more issues with the main header - if you keep your browser resolution as 1200px or above, there's no problem. As soon as you begin to condense it, there's something dropping down off the header (probably the hidden search bar or something else) that's covering up those links.

Ah, you're right. After I disabled my condensation, it works just as it should. Sounds a bit hacky but what I do know and if it works on default settings, who cares. :P Anyway, sorry for the trouble!

EDIT: Ah, I misread that a bit. The issue with the area under the navigation bar persist even if I disable all my customizations, but the next page button thing gets resolved if I disable my condensation. In short, the navigation bar issue is entirely separate.

EDIT2: And just for the record, I thought I had the navigation bar issue even before the forums were updated, and while I can't say anything about that with any certainty, the problem is also on the main page where I don't have any customizations active. The problem doesn't seem to exist in Chrome though, so sounds like more wonders of web development.

EDIT3: I just checked the navigation bar thing without browser extensions, and it works. Seems like some extension is messing with it, but I have no idea which, because besides my adblocker, nothing is supposed to interact with page content here.

EDIT4: FFS. It's Greasemonkey but not by itself. It's my stupid buddy notification hack I wrote to get some kind of a notification when someone quotes me. And here I though userscripts ran somehow in isolation and couldn't implicitly affect the site... I'm really sorry for this confusion!

EDIT5: Oh come on! It's just a tiny box! It breaking something just isn't reasonable! That is, fixing the issue seems non-trivial. -.-
