At one time, it would have been hard for me to keep the list to only 10 games. At this point, I have completely forgotten more games than most people have ever played. I am not one for replaying games, but I have played almost every game on this list more than once.

1. Wizardry 8 (I replay it every 5 years or so)
2. Portal 2 (For some reason, the older areas of that game world feel like "home" to me)
3. Grimoire (Epic for so many reasons, pure incline)
4. Wizardry 6/7 (The birth of modern RPGs)
5. Ultima 3 (The classic old-school RPG)
6. Might & Magic 6 (I just had a lot of fun playing this one)
7. Planescape: Torment (Evil? good? lawful? chaotic? you choose)
8. Gothic (The first game that felt alive)
9. Rogue (I loved this game back in the day, and it has spawned literally 1000s of copycats. Who hasn't played a "rogue-like" game?)
10. WoW (The first MMO to get it right)

I only rank if I have beaten the game. I have beaten/reviewed 144 games so far, last I checked. I also assign scores in proportion to the quality of games at the time of release, so I don't give a bad score for bad UI or controls on NES era games, for example. My current top 10:

You might wanna read up on this thread. The link to the official thread is there, and well, technically you could still post in it since it hasn't been locked yet, but I wouldn't consider your list anymore since you didn't sign up.

This stuff happens at the end of every year, though, it's always nice to have more people around (even if I don't agree with your formulaic method of rating games).

What's wrong with my method of rating games compared to anyone else? We all find different parts of video games more or less important than others so I'm not sure why mine would be singled out.

Since I missed sign-up I guess I'll wait until next year.
