2020 will be Switch 2. Using Xavier which will put on par with Xbox one X

Wow... just wow.

I think we need a memorial for your posts already:

"Switch will surpass XBO lifetime sales by November"

"When was the last time a cod game touch 15 million? Lol"

"Zelda BOTW will sell 17 - 20 million."

"Smash will be the best selling game this year."

"The PS4 is down YOY. Time for 5. "

"Splatoon will be a 15 million + LTD seller WW Can’t say that about MHW. It’s already in the discount bin"

It's an impressive resume, I look forward to you expanding it.

The only way I can see this could work is that the docked Switch performance is exactly the undocked switch pro performance (384 gflops?). That would be way easier to handle for developers than making 4 different settings for one game. Add in a bigger full hd screen and people will be happy. Would be cool if the docked switch pro performance is exactly xbox/ps4 gflops. (Don't know if thats possible in 2020)

Not if they follow the route they already have with the NEW 3DS where some games just won't be playable on OG Switch.  I feel like this is a very possible route they could take TBH.  Although if all games were to be playable on both, then yes I can see where you are coming from.

To be expected, as long as the same games can be played on all versions it will be a ok

Its not a matter of if it will happen it is when! As Nvidia themselves are moving customers in the automotive sector onto the next Tegra line, having Nintendo on board with a refresh to help subsidies large chip orders of the new SoC makes sense for both companies.

At this point it makes no sense whatsoever for Nintendo to even consider a die shrink of the current model, they would be the only ones placing orders for those chips as everyone else moves on to the next. They should just work on the Switch Pro chip as the refresh and offer a cut down lite version of that SoC for a smaller more portable Switch. The Switch lite would still end up more powerful and more efficient than the out going model for a more affordable cost.

Nah much sooner than that.

It’s coming later this year or early next year.

The revision will be using a custom X2 chip.

2020 will be Switch 2. Using Xavier which will put on par with Xbox one X and 8K video rendering. One thing to keep in mind is that arm is catching to x86 very quickly.

Apple is already will be ditching intel chips which will further innovate mobile chips.

Custom X2 Chip for the revision is the only possible thing here.

1. There's no reason or even possibility (development takes time) that it will launch before holiday season 2019 earliest.

2. ARM is nowhere catching up to x86 chips. What changed was the max TDP got raised from ~5W to around 30W for small servers and for autonomous driving cars. Of course with 6 times more headroom the performance skyrockets, but from an architectural standpoint X86-64 is simply miles above and away over ARMv8.x.

3.Apple is switching to ARM to have an unified ecosystem, not because ARM would be catching up in performance, which it doesn't. Well, they are very slowly catching up to the Macbook Air models, but those have been extremely weak for the last 3-4 Generations, yet still ARM doesn't come close in performance as of now. The only advantage the ARM cores have in terms of performance is that you can cluster more of them together in such a small hardware, but that doesn't suffice to beat x86

What's the point of a switch revision if we won't get 1080p undocked

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Being able to handle PS5 games at 1080p 60fps docked, or at all in handheld mode.

That makes no sense.

Mind you, there's no guarantee that Nintendo won't do something utterly stupid, but such predictions are disturbing.

It would literally be the same thing they did with the NEW 3DS, just on a larger scale.  How does that make no sense?
