You lose, no one is moderated for having a go at you (within reason - but with much more leniency)! Deal? the first 3 months of 2018 ps4 vs switch? or jan npd vs ps4 2014? Ill take both. Alright. Remember - be a sport if you...

keep in mind i thought it was a 4 week period, so switch had to do  270k, i already knew it  didn't have a chance in hell, but it was a 5 week period, so i told him let's make it interesting and raise to 295k for 5 weeks, and he agreed.

"Easily banned"? No. However, as I told you about leniency, that also applies if you win.

Plus, I can't stop other mods from acting. The bet was for me. ;P

Ok now we're gonna get 15 pages of how he's right about the "easily ban" thing and how you're wrong.

This NPD is one of the all time worst. Saddening and a disappointment.
Baiting, bullying and shit posting.

How about we talk about how close the gaps are for each console and could have gone either way? Competition is beneficial for us.

How about we talk about the success story of MHW and DBFZ? If you are a fan of Japanese games then this is nice and we should be celebrating because this might change the tune of some 3rd party Japanese devs to put some effort in their games and release the game at the same date with Japan.

How about we discuss How strong the legs of BoTW and Nintendo games in general?

I am regret reading the whole thread in hoping there's a leak numbers for MHW. It's best to avoid this thread in the future. Just read the OP wait for the update.

If we actually find out who came in 2nd and 3rd. And What are the sales for each hardware, it would cut a lot of unnecessary posts here.

Srry you feel that way, im not pointing fingers as i dont have enough nor do i want to point to myself but i underatand.

After you pointing that out your right, we didnt talk about any of the positives at least this npd, it is kinda hard without numbers though. MC at least provides with more discussion.

Either way i hope it does get better honestly

That doesn't matter in the slightest. That's a normal price for a home console. $300 for a handheld however is very expensive and the Switch is currently competing against a cheaper PS4 and Xbox One. And it's still kicking ass despite all this.

PS4 had it very easy actually. Its main competition was a weaker home console that was $100 more expensive and the Wii U.

How many consoles in their 5th year are sold at $299? So no, it’s not normal. The Switch is also a console so $299 in its first year makes sense. And based on Amazon, it seems that the Switch is currently cheaper than the PS4. I think the Switch has it easier now - its biggest competitor is a similar priced console in its 5th year. Should be easy sailing.

This logic is coming from the same people who claimed the Switch was DOA because the price was too steep.

I mean... worst worldwise. Sorry, I should have clarified that. Anyway, even in US first and second years were almost tied and then it went up. That's the normal. and that was my whole point (that PS4 being 3 or 4 years old is actually good for it, not bad, like Celador suggested in my quote).

I would be very happy if I were Sony and the console went up in its 5th year, but that would be abnormal. But like I said it hardly went up in the US. WW of course it did, and in Japan it went very far up.

A console on its 51st month / 5th January at this price in the US certainly shouldn't be doing this well.

There is no sign of the PS4 slowing down. The line up alone this year i's going to make sure of that. The console almost sold half a million units in Japan this year. And the PS4 hasn't even hit the $200 mark. When it does the PS4 is going to sell even faster.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I have a feeling every console will be up YOY, come December 2018 NPD.

You mention price, and that's the huge factor and the point of the post. If PS4 stays $299 all year, it really shouldn't do very well, just like this month was meh saleswise, but pretty good revenue wise. $199 lead to the PS4 getting completely sold out, so there is no telling how well it will do with that.

Many? Well then i must have been living under a rock being that this thread was the first I ever heard of it.

I mean it wasnt the general consensus or anything but it was more than a couple people.

I don't get the logic. A few people thought MHW would help PS4 win the month which made people pretend to be shocked that Switch won even though the huge majority predicted a Switch win. OK!

Wasn't there a lot of Nintendo fans that were unhappy with pricing?
