2012 - 40k/w
2013 - 29k/w
2014 - 24.25k/w
2015 - 18.5k/w
2016 - 17.5k/w
2017 - no numbers, but less than in 2018
2018- between 24k and 29k a week
I think 2017 was up on 2016 due to pokemon go. Thus I think other than the peak year the sales are pretty typical and therefore pretty good.

Best december since 2011 and best january since 2013 for a 7 year old system that, and let's be honest, hasn't aged well graphically, and still has low resolution. It's quite insane to me that after the Pokemon Go hype has died it's still able to put up these numbers. Yeah not a significant jump but many expected it to die out in 2015 and it's still chugging decent amount of sales.

Don't know why anyone would say or think NS sales will fall off a cliff though. Like there is nothing to indicate that it will.
Only platform we can confidently say that about for is XB1. Hell, this marks the first time since the console launched that its sales haven't fallen off a cliff shortly after the holiday season.
And I don't know who these 'people' are..... but being that this is VGC I'm gonna assume this is one of those times when the opinion of one becomes the voice of all.

I think PS4 is ahead of XB1. (from reading the venturebeat.com article)
Why? because Xbox One X is 499$, but PS4 overall made more revenue than Xb1.
But its only by a small gap.

To be fair only person that really pushed that narrative is @quickrick, so nothing really strange just wishful thinking. :)

Again with the revisionism. Some xbox fans have actually tried to undermine the thread in the past when it incorrectly suggested ps4 would win a month. Its only bothering you now because its being said about switch.
So when people start assuming switch wins big because they have 2 high sku we are entitled to point out amazon doesnt accurately represent the margin of victory and can be biased towards a certain console .
Previously it was ps4, now its switch and thats just facts.

He was wrong on Switch sales dropping in early 2018, but you guys are picking on him, trying to get him to admit it, when he doesnt want to.

its been going on for a month or so, it feels like, but in this thread, it crossed a line for me.

Its not only ninty fans though, its almost every1. I dont think i seen this before at least to this scale. But quickrick is digging himself in more and more.
