Just curious, where are coming from ?

Because you clearly unaware of the canadian northern region realities...

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say....But, you're clearly unaware of facts.

I’m asking because you sound like someone living in a warm and cozy environment who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

because we just don't do it.. That's what makes it more acceptable.. We know not to eat people cause it's wrong.. we know not to eat cat cause it's wrong.. we know not to eat seals... cause it's wrong!!! Pigs are different. Exotic pets should just be off the table.

No we do not eat people because that is cannibalism an act that only select groups of animals will do as far as eating other animals goes the is no concrete restriction like you're trying to push.

No offence but right now your whole argument here has come across as you don't do it or like it so its wrong which is an ignorant way to approach things and a prime example of an attitude that prevents people supporting groups like vegetarians and such. You say people just don't do it when in fact people do and have for centuries.

Exactly! We don't do cannibalism.

It's not ignorant. I know I'm right cause I've never seen seal on any menu.. at any restaurant.. and I've been to lots of restaurants.. and I know in the US seal fur is illegal. It's taboo and it's sick! We just don't do it. I mean, have you ever eaten seal? If not... then your argument holds no water.

Reputation proceeds me, they told you I'm crazy, I swear I don't love the drama it loves me <3

Okay, I can sympathize with the cause, but your arguments are just straight up awful... Appeal to emotion, appeal to nature, etc... Please consider taking a course in epistemology, at some point

What parameters makes one more acceptable exactly? McDonalds doesn't dictate this if that's what you're going by and the company is a US based one so would really deal with Seal meat because it caters mainly to US culture much like in the middle east restaurants don't sell pork.

Right now it comes across as because you don't like it it's the law.

Or maybe all those just dont taste as good.

There are two big differences between slaves and pets though. 1) Pets aren't for labour, 2) A lot of pet species wouldn't be able to survive in the wild.

That said, there definitely needs to be a regulation of which animals we can keep and which we can't. And we should also do more effort on making sure that people don't mistreat their pets.

So guide dogs are slaves then. They're used for labour. Besides, the purposes of keeping them in captivity doesn't really change the fact that they're still kept in captivity.

As for not being able to survive in the wild... who's fault is that? They weren't always that way...

I guess it would be better if we didn't have pets, but they aren't the biggest issue right now. What we really should worry about, is the mistreatment of cattle and the mass killings of wild animals.

Guide dogs might get replaced by robots in the future. But it's not like they have miserable lives. Circus animals and carriage horses, however, are something that should be severely limited or completely forbidden.

How can you kill a seal with those puppy eyes they have?

Problem solved.

"Exactly! We don't do cannibalism."

false equivalency/slippery slope

I know I'm right cause I've never seen seal on any menu.. at any restaurant.. and I've been to lots of restaurants..

Appeal to nature/anecdotal

and I know in the US seal fur is illegal.

Appeal to authority.

It's taboo and it's sick!

Appeal to nature/personal incredulity.

We just don't do it.

Appeal to popularity (also known as: bandwagon)

I mean, have you ever eaten seal? If not... then your argument holds no water.

Ad hominem, sort of? Certainly a dubious conclusion. You're advocating for anecdotal evidence.
