because we just don't do it.. That's what makes it more acceptable.. We know not to eat people cause it's wrong.. we know not to eat cat cause it's wrong.. we know not to eat seals... cause it's wrong!!! Pigs are different. Exotic pets should just be off the table.

No we do not eat people because that is cannibalism an act that only select groups of animals will do as far as eating other animals goes the is no concrete restriction like you're trying to push.

No offence but right now your whole argument here has come across as you don't do it or like it so its wrong which is an ignorant way to approach things and a prime example of an attitude that prevents people supporting groups like vegetarians and such. You say people just don't do it when in fact people do and have for centuries.

What parameters makes one more acceptable exactly? McDonalds doesn't dictate this if that's what you're going by and the company is a US based one so would really deal with Seal meat because it caters mainly to US culture much like in the middle east restaurants don't sell pork.

There are two big differences between slaves and pets though. 1) Pets aren't for labour, 2) A lot of pet species wouldn't be able to survive in the wild.

That said, there definitely needs to be a regulation of which animals we can keep and which we can't. And we should also do more effort on making sure that people don't mistreat their pets.
