I could live with that.

Or have a companion and allow them to ride in a side-car.
Expand on the Wolf Link concept, perhaps using Zelda as the companion.

Love to see the next game they come up with. I wouldn't complain for more DLC though!

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Personally I’d like to see a Zelda game that retains some aspects of BOTW but also brings back some of the more classic or traditional aspects of the series. Maybe I’m just old and jaded though.

It's great that they have discovered a new development method for creating new ideas through DLC, I actually didn't like DLC that much from a creator/gamer perspective, thinking that it should be included in the game to begin with, but the way Nintendo has handled it and these comments do open my eyes to the potential more than some other games have.

These comments do sound like they haven't even started on a new game though.  If we had expected a new game to come out in the next 2 years, then they should have probably already had set ideas and game concepts from even before BotW launched.  These comments seem to put into question that a new game is even being considered, which is disappointing.

Like in Majora's Mask?

Knowing Nintendo and the Zelda team, they'll probably re-use the assets and then change everything up. Look at what they did after OoT with Majora's. They re-used a lot of assets, but the game is completely different.

I'm expecting the Zelda team to do something crazy like that. In the end the Zelda fan will still favor BotW, I doubt they'll surpass it in the same way, there's always something that goes wrong when they follow a Zelda masterpiece. And as much as people appreciate Majora's Mask and Zelda II now, people did NOT like them at the time they came out. It took the longest time for these games to be liked, most people couldn't bother to finish them for more than a decade.

Zelda BotW is less than one year on market and lastest DLC was just launched, so hardly they will specifically talk about new game and ideas for that new games, but we can read between the lines.

It's more than likely they began entertaining concepts for the next Legend of Zelda at the beginning of the polish phase of Breath of the Wild, which probably happened in 2015. They would have begun moving on production over a year ago.

This isn't the film industry; developers don't just wait around between titles, they are always working on the next project when they have finished with the previous.

I'd love for them to continue the vein of BoTW, but also have like a side series where the games resemble the traditional style of Zelda (OoT, Link to the Past etc).
