Is still in my history

That's the same loophole I found in the meantime. Locked threads remain in the thread creation history, so they can be found if you know who created the thread you are looking for.

The problem with wiping threads is that there are circumstances where even good threads with useful information can get locked, such as:

1. A group of people starting a fight and derailing a thread to the point where the mods shut it down.
2. A random necrobumper bringing back a thread at some point, leading to a lock due to lack of relevance at that point in time.

You could ask the one moderated for the link in their moderation history

Edit i know that is hard work with the size of yours

It would be better to reverse that change, otherwise we'll have people who wonder if they dreamt about posting on VGC on the day before when they can't find the thread they recently posted in anymore.

What's the reasoning for that change anyway?

EDIT: Looks like someone still had a tab with that thread open, because I got a like and therefore the link to the thread again just now.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I noticed a terrible change. When a thread gets locked, it also gets removed from the Forum Buddy. Worse, even the posts you wrote in a locked thread get removed from your posting history, so how is one supposed to learn why a thread got locked when it gets wiped from existence?

I noticed the same thing today with CaptainExplosion's cameltoe thread. I had to go to his profile and look at his threads to see how it concluded.

Locked threads were meant to get pushed down (like they are on the Board pages), not removed altogether (they're back now).

I know your follow-up complaint will be that the paging sucks on the profile pages, requiring you to click through dozens and dozens of pages to get to the locked threads - I'm working on changing that, too...

Actually, my follow-up complaint is that the locked thread isn't back on my Buddy. If locked threads remained on the Buddy, nobody would need to sift through profile pages, so the work on profile pages has no priority whatsoever.

I am pretty sure that many people are interested in how a thread they posted in has concluded. Or being able to know that they received a direct response to one of their posts when they were in the middle of a discussion, so even if it's not possible to post in a locked thread anymore, at least the response(s) could be read.

What do the little green and yellow indicator lines that appear below the envelope icons in the hot topics (that's the only one I've looked at) menu on my home page mean?

I didn't change the Buddy - that's the way it's always been. And because there are a limited number of topics available to fit in there, it would be sorta wasteful to include locked threads there.

Green - Polls
Gold - Bets

If you hover over those icons, you'll get tooltips...

One more modification to mentions - added the postid to the notification, so you can view the specific post you were mentioned in @vgchartzadmin

No, that's not the way it has always been. COKTOE noticed the change as well. And of course kirby knows it too.

I don't see how it would be wasteful when the Buddy's purpose is to show the threads that were most recently posted in. Locked threads will eventually vanish from the Buddy, just like all other threads you stop posting in. There's no inconvenience caused by having locked threads on the Buddy, but there's inconvenience when they get removed forcefully, because that requires a manual search to find the thread again. That's why it is preferable if you looked into returning things to how they were.

This situation feels similar to the font change on the Hot Topics page where you said that you didn't change anything, but something had changed anyway. I believed you last time and I believe you this time too that you didn't change anything, but something you did elsewhere with the code impacted the Buddy unintentionally.
