Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Switch Supply Starting To Catch Up To Demand?

checking on nowinstock.net its available in every country widespread apart from Japan. A handheld being desirable in Japan who'ld thunk, So now that demand is satisfied the Switch should be winning each NPD this year apart from Nov, Xbox One X

Definitely getter better, but still seems to terrible in Japan.

Yeah, even in Japan though I think as long as Nintendo continues to ship about 35-40k+ long enough, that's enough systems that eventually most people who really want one will be able to find one. When they were only shipping 20-25k/week that was dramatically starving the supply chain.

Yeah, but even then if demand is 5 million for the first year in Japan and Nintendo only ship 3-3.5 million it's still a situation of low stock, lotteries, higher marked up prices, etc. But anyways this week is meant to be particularly bad though.

SEND THEM TO JAPAN!!!!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Yes ...

Aside from Japan, practically all major regions have Switch supply sorted out ...

Even in Japan, supply issues won't remain forever since the Switch is only currently selling 19% above it's reference price plus the holidays will be easier for Japan too since Mario isn't as big of a deal compared to the other regions and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a nonfactor so demand for the Switch won't spike as hard as it did when Splatoon 2 launched ...

Yeah, my local GameStop had some the day of the Metroid launch and when I went there on Friday they had some, too. I want to get one for my daughter but she said she didn't want one. I'm worried she'll change her mind at the last second and I won't be able to find one! She's always playing mine.

Now if only they'd do the same for the SNES Classic.

One can only hope.

I wouldn't say I know personally. I've asked and checked a few stores periodically in my area, and they were still sold out on them. They're still getting new shipments, so that's good. I figure they'll need it for the holidays.

In Brazil it was never a problem finding one

It's definitly getting better. Not all stores here in Luxembourg are stocked, but a couple of weeks ago none had any consoles at all.
