The 1st film was a disappointment for me. This one doesn't seem to be better. I rather just watch older kaiju films.

I liked the first film. I was hoping the actors were the same but oh well. This one might be good and hopefully it embodies the spirit of the first one but that trailer music was really meh.

The first one is a favorite for sure. I do not like this trailer.

I really liked the first one. These new mechs feel like a slimmer version of Striker Eureka, which I guess makes sense considering the time span. Making their movements so smooth does make it a bit underwhelming, but I'm excited nonetheless. I can't wait to see what the son of the canceller of the apocalypse, John Boyeager can do.

The CGI is on point, now if they only managed to make the story enjoyable...

While I do miss the heavier movements of the older Jaegers, I suppose it makes logical sense; even in the first film, Striker as the first of the Mark 5 Jaegers moved a lot more smoothly than the older models. So it makes sense that years later new Jaegers would build on this and further improve mobility.

Also... The trailer should have stuck to the theme song from the original film, it sounds far more epic.

Yeah the trailer music is kinda crap, but then these kind of licensed songs usually don't end up in the film itself thankfully. I was a bit disappointed to hear that the composer of the first film isn't returning, that movie's OST was fantastic.
