PS5 will be end 2019 WW. I can def see where Sony can get an easy one up on MS here with an early 2019 release but I think Sony would want an end game in place to keep software on PS4 and so its still a viable purchase.
Either through pushing classics games onto PS4 hardware minimum so there is a constant release of older games for PS4.

If they make PS4 games compatible with PS5 then I could see a 2019 release but I see end of 2020 at the earliest.

A ten year life cycle does not mean Sony waits ten years before releasing a new ps. It simply means they intend to support it for ten years or longer if the market is there.

The PS4 is a great console. I think Sony can keep it till 2020 without any problems. I am sure the PS5 will be a beast but they don't need to make it right now.

2018 shaping up to be their best year so how or why in the hell would they bring out a ps5 a year later when the sales are that great? that is madness. Sony gonna make alot of easy money atleast until 2020

The way sales are looking right now on Amazon, really makes it hard to see them trying to move to PS5 as early as 2019. PS4 appears to have a lot of steam left, and we haven't even reached the bottom as far as price goes. PS4 Super Slim on 7nm should be able to reach $149.99 without a sweat. 2018 and 2019 should still be very strong, both could potentially surpass this year.

2020-2021, they take an extra year for each generation.

I hope not. It would be better to wait till 2020-2021. Like what will it add to the picture. A strong ps4, we already have ps4 pro. A stronger ps4 pro which will be better for VR i guess. What else 8K at 30 fps?
