Good Switch sales, but Europe is not feeling the system yet. This could be due to stores not having faith since the Wii U fiasco, many stores here in the Netherlands have put their Switch section in some corner without any promotion, whereas PS4 and Xbox One have lots of space with cardboard cutouts and such.

I'd have to say it might be due to the price being higher, but also talking to friends it seems many aren't convinced it can be as good a system for general gaming as the PS4 (I told them it's very good btw).

I'd have to check how my store is showcasing it, but last time I checked they had two TVs, one for PS4, one for XBox, but the one for XBox was turned off and had no controllers. Maybe they put a Switch there.

Nintendo killing it with over 300k!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Switch doing well for a dead-on-arrival product.

I'm pretty sure the Switch is massively undertracked here in Europe. I mean, more supply is available now, so surely the numbers should go up? Also, going by last weeks' numbers ( 5 Aug.) approximately 20k were sold just in U.K. France and Germany, so the whole of the rest of the continent only adds up to 15k? That's a lot of countries to only sell 15k in! Also, if you apply the same equation to PS4, it goes from roughly 25k in the 3 main countries to around 65k all told, so 40k in the rest of Europe. I don't buy it!

I still have yet to see any actual in store Switch stock. But yeah, the Nintendo section seemes to be noticably smaller and less advertised over here too. Although the Switch display units (saw those pop up around a month ago) get pretty decent play, from what I could see.

3DS just won't die, also I can't tell if 3DS selling so on par with the Xbox One in it's 7th year is impressive for 3DS or just severely unimpressive for Xbox One. Probably a combination of the two.

Mostly because XOne is doing very poorly, but also because the 3DS sales are great. They're lower than DS's sales (which were oftenover 150,000 in it's 7th year), but of course the difference in lifetime is huge (so actually the 3DS is doing relatively better).

~110k to ~69k is not "on par".

3DS outsold the xbox by a decent margin this week.

its just a unimpressive xb week.

I know, but I was refering to overall sales year to date as well. Xbox One is at 2.8 million with 3DS not too far behind at 2.5 million. I expect things to quickly shift this holiday though, unless Xbox One X underperforms and 3DS gets some really good sales and bundles.

So the Switch is currently at around 2 years of Wii U sales (going by an average of 3m per year) despite being only about 5-6 months old and having no holiday season. I get the feeling that it might outsell the Wii U completely before the first year is over.

Depends. If you mean first year as in by January 1st, definitely not. If you mean by March 3rd, very unlikely, but it will get close.
