Forums - Gaming Discussion - 130 million switches by 2022?! Virtually impossible.

Lol, I don't think the Switch will reach so many sales, but, to be honest, and seeing your past threads, your Sony fanboysm is a bit disgusting. It's like Nintendo did something mean to you.

I'll just answer the OP, so if I missed something forgive me.

In my opinion Sony is destined to fall off the horse with the PS5. Think with me. Aside from 4K, which I don't think will be as widespread and popular as HD. For MOST people, do consoles really need to get more powerful?

2 things.... either:
ONE: Sony makes the PS5 a little more powerful than the Xbox One X, which likely won't garner enough interest from the public.

TWO: They follow Nintendo's lead and make a hybrid, which will make them fall flat on their faces for a couple of reasons. Not only are they entering Nintendo's turf and are doing it too late. They don't have the corporate DNA to make this work.

The writing is on the wall. As long as the world doesn't end or some new crazy tech doesn't come along that justifies a regular PS5 purchase. You're stupid to stick with Sony for this. That's what I think.

I could have sworn it wasn't April fools yet

Every post from him is April fools.

Yeah, that seems a little insane. It's a safe bet to say it will cross 50 million at this point, and may eventually beat out the 3DS, but 130 million is more than a little pre-mature. Let's see where it's at at the end of 2018 and what games are coming out in 2019.

If Nintendo can somehow match the 2017 pace of games for several years to come, or enough third parties come on board to fill the slack, we might have a monster on our hands.

Nintendo can't even ship this amount in 5 years.

Or it could be because literally your entire existence on this site is to contribute shitty threads that have no value, no interesting speculations, and just serve as a platform for you to call Nintendo kiddie or to say yet another negative thing about the Switch.

Believe it or not instead of creating an entire thread about your unoriginal opinion you can easily just go in any of the other threads and post a comment. Amazing, I know.

This might be the single greatest response I've ever seen on this website.

I agree that it's very unlikely. I think that the half of it (65M) would already be a decent success.

But this thread is just... ugh...

Yeah does seem a little high but yeah im thinking once pokemon drops anythings possible

I agree with you, i don't get why people confuse hate with logic. I don't see it selling 130m either, and as you said, i do see it selling around 80m

If it reaches 80 mil by the end of 2020, then I'll believe it.
