I'm sure the metroid prime crowd would like it.

also as the 'inferior late port' arguement, well the portability shies it away from being an inferior port.

Not really N64 had Goldeneye, Tom Clancy Turok, Southpark and Perfect Dark that all did well, COD sold well on the Wii as well.

i remember, not all that long ago, a cerftain other console getting crazy hate for being heavy on ports and remasters, now the shoes on the other foot it's considered a good thing, funny how that works.

The people that defended those remasters and now find their way to shit about the same situation on Switch is even more funny. It isn't the same situation though, since apart from "old" ports Switch has been getting a number of great exclusives pretty fast, something that didn't happened in the scenario you talk about.

I think some people should differentiate from remasters and current gen multiplatform titles, I don't even get how he's trying to link Doom to the remasters tbh because the issue then was rereleasing past gen games on new platforms, Doom and W2 are current gen multiplatform titles which the whole context of the situation is far different as these two games fall into another argument of Switch running current gen AAA titles.

Some people seem to really get annoyed at the Switch being successful and trying to stretch the "Switch has no games" argument to the maximum.

Switch will get even more support in the future, it's not going to slow down. It will have a better library than any other console after one year on the market, I'm sure of at least that.

Bring on Steamworld Dig 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Doom and I'll have already bought 10 Switch games this year. I own about 10 3DS games and I've had one since 2013. Switch is a beast, whether you like it or not. Blows any previous Nintendo handheld out of the water.

Hopefully Stardew Valley and Hollow Knight release in 2017 as well, that would make the line-up even crazier!

What I find funny is that people are still trying to downplay this. I mean DOOM is only a year old and is a AAA current gen game. Wolfenstein is not even released yet, and the Switch can handle it. This pretty much proves that the Switch can run current gen games with a few minor hits to visuals that you likely will not notice while playing unless you are compare them side by side.

The PS4 and X1 version will always look better, but Switch can be played on the go or on the TV. It is a fair trade off. People are so bent on trying to downplay anything Nintendo though that they fail to see the main point at hand...THAT THE SWITCH CAN RUN THESE GAMES IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Oh well, haters gonna hate. I skipped DOOM for PS4, so I will be getting both on Switch. Portability is more important to me.

It only proves that Switch can handle 60FPS AAA games from the HD twins so far ... (Not only do the PS4/X1 versions look better but they run at a higher framerate. 30FPS vs 60FPS)

Not to say Switch can't handle 30FPS AAA games from home consoles either since devs could just cut some game logic but at that point can you really say that you are getting the same game when content, level design and the mechanics are different ? (FIFA 18 on Switch vs PS4/X1 ?)

NBA 2k and these two games pretty much confirm that FIFA is due to laziness.  There is no reason for that game to have cut content.  That is on EA, not the Switch.
