Wow probably gonna be like this until November. That means all of August, September and October will be horrible for X1. X1 will probably take November due to the preorder buildup. December will probably be Switch or PS4.

Goddamn, PS4 has been on fire constantly for years now, won't someone call the fire department already?
Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.
Please, is it that hard to see VGChartz is putting PS4 numbers on par with what they announced?
What software caused 340.000 units? Right...
PS4: Tryklon | Steam: Tryklon
Switch: 0307-6588-7010 | New 2DS XL: 2037-2612-6964

Arguably and financially the PS3 was worse than either the Wii U or Vita. It literally vaporised all profit the PS2 abd a good chunk that the PS1 made in a few years after launch.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
PS4 is the strongest as usual, and by an impressive margin, NS still slowed down by supply issues, XBOne decent and 3DS unwilling to die too soon.
This is the last year surely for Wii U and XB360 and most probably for PS3, although only end of production in Japan for the latter has been announced, so it could still sell cheaper produced units on some markets some more time, but the numbers tell that unless they manage to boost sales again, they are becoming irrelevant everywhere.
Decent niche sales, good SW sales in Japan and good profit margin and the fact that it's Sony's placeholder in the portable market still keep PSV alive, but God only knows what Sony wants to do about it beyond the short term.

Yeah. In general anyone thinking it could would be fooling themselves. Don't most consoles have their most successful year on their 3rd - 4th year? |
I believe the PS1/PS2/3DS were in their 3rd full year and the Wii was in it's 2nd full year. PS4 looks to being doing it in it's 4th year, which unless I'm mistaken, hasn't happened before.

PS1 and DS were both 4th full year.
Launch: Wii U
1st year: N64 and GCN
2nd year: Wii and SNES
3rd year: PS2, 3DS, GBA
4th year: PS1 and DS
5th year: PS3
6th year: X360
12th year: GB

Yeah. 17 million from April 1999 to March 2000, 19 million from April 2000 to March 2001.

I always separated GB from GBC, but it's interesting that Nintendo themselves consider the GBC to merely be a revision of the GB instead of a successor.
